This walk follows the railway line and sea coast for 13.5 km if you walk the full length. Given the proximity to the railway line, you can do it in stages if the full length is too far. I walked from Plimmerton railway station to Paremata. The path is well made and flat and you can look out over the sea and perhaps sight some waterbirds. If you want facilities, there are a number of locations along the way.
