Spotted on yet another tv series we are lucky to have this famous beach on our doorstep and it often is the end location of a walk, esp near the Zetland Arms, bonus!

This is our location all through the year to swim . A unique place , not crowded, clean and peaceful; In the winter, nice swim with the Kingsdown Crawlers and a nice fire afterwards on the beach.

The beach is clean and has a lovely dog friendly pub The Zetland Arms right on it. It's a pebble beach so take something comfy if you intend to sit and bathe. Very popular with cyclists, runners and families and has clifftop walks and gorgeous...More

Having lived in Kingsdown for over 40 years, and coming to the old scout camp in the 50's the beach has changed a lot. much smaller, possibly due to the dredging of the Goodwin sands. A lot of work has been done to improve to...More

Lovely views great for cyclists too if approach using the cycle paths on the Deal seafront as Kingsdown itself on a hill. can get busy and parking an issue . Local tearooms great for sunsets evening walks. Plus a pint in the Zetland Arms.

Good to be able to walk for miles along the seafront, and good that it doesn’t appear to get very busy, but too many pebbles.

Loved it here. Remote, and with WW2 remains. The beach is overshadowed by chalk cliffs. A pub is at one end. very peaceful but broken sea wall shows how extreme the weather can get.

Kingsdown beach is unique in that it has in some ways stayed the same for many many years and in others it has changed. It is now much busier than it was twenty to thirty years ago and the local pubs have new owners, but...More

Very pretty pebble beach on the edge of the charming village of Kingsdown. Be warned: the sea can work up a bit of a swell here, the beach drops very quickly and there is quite a strong undertow in some places. Having said that, it's...More
