Trio to the factory

I went to the factory to address some concerns I had with their 45-70 ammo as well as look at the set up. I was impressed at the size and the quality control. I did have a hard... read more

My husband and I decided to visit after reading the reviews. So glad we did. Jen was very friendly, actually everyone there was friendly. Jen explained everything well. We were impressed at everything that goes into making these bullets. I'm not a gun person but my husband enjoys it, but I totally enjoyed this tour! I recommend!!

We took a tour at the hornady factory on our way to colorado. It was very nice to see how things are made and where they are packaged. Everyone was very nice and answered all of our questions. I would go back!

Who would have thought that the process for making one single bullet could be so complex!! I arrived on a Monday for the 8:30AM Tour and I was the only one there so I got a private tour. It is amazing all the steps and the process involved, and you get to see it all. My tour guide was working... More

Interesting tour! When you see what goes into the manufacturing of bullets, it really is amazing that boxes do not cost more! This plant employs 300+! They engineer and repair all their own equipment. Tour is 30 minutes. Every non-hunting wife should take this tour.

Hornady offers a really nice tour of the plant from casting lead to viewing the underground test firing range. Dozens of animal mounts from around the world start the tour. The lady guiding the tour is very knowledgeable about the product, machines & processes. The free tour takes about 30 minutes to complete. All in all, time well spent!

I recommend this tour for all who either shot or hunt. Just to go see the amazing mounts they have is worth the visit. Y=the alone the tour of the factory. They give you a brief history of their company then take you through the plant. They show you the maintanence area where they repair all there own machines. Some... More

This was a fun short tour, about 30-40 minutes conducted by an unusually perky lady who made the tour fun. We got to see almost the entire manufacturing process except the addition of the gun powder for obvious safety reasons. Otherwise, the tour guide was very thorough and explanatory of all aspects. Even got a free Hornady baseball cap! It... More

A short tour to see America's finest manufacturing workers in action. Our tour guide, Jen, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her work. Her great attitude seemed to permeate the entire factory, as all the workers we encountered were cheerful and seemed to be genuinely pleased we took he time to take the tour. We know zero about firearms or... More
