We only had a couple of hours to spend at the park, wish we had more time, but we did get in a nice tour and walk-thrus of both museums. So much history to learn about at this site.

Let me start by saying that I am hopelessly biased in favor of Fort Robinson because my family has been hosting family reunions there since before I was born. That said, I still think it is an excellent place to visit and stay. If you're...More

This is one of the best kept secrets in the United States. I stayed two days, and loved every minute of it. The nature is astounding from the bison, buttes, blue skies, well maintained building, scenic vistas, and so much more. My wife and I...More

I truly LOVED the day I spent here! We took the jeep ride to a high mountain and took the stagecoach ride. I LOVED both. We had really great drivers and our jeep driver knew so much of the history and facts that he shared...More

Great place for a family vacation. We recommend the long horse ride into the buttes, the historical horse drawn tour and the swimming pool. Would not spend $ on the chuck wagon dinner again but we're looking forward to the play tonight!

It's been a few years since we visited Forth Robinson. There is now an entrance fee, which was $8 per vehicle, if I recall. However, the fees seem to have led to great improvements. Many of the buildings have been tidied up, and this could...More

We will be traveling through this area in July and have a couple of hours to spend in the park. Could someone elaborate on the tours offered? I could not find much on the website. We are interested in history and photographing wildlife and landscapes. Is this a park we can drive through or do you recommend a tour?

You cannot drive through the area where you would get good photos of wildlife and landscapes. We did the 50 minute jeep ride and got photos of big horn sheep, antelope, flowers, and the beautiful view from the top. The jeep... More

Are the kitchens in the cabins equipped with dishes, silverware and cooking utensils?

We didn't spend the night and didn't have time to tour the cabins but I think they have everything. I want to go back and stay in the officer's quarters.
I am wondering if anyone who has stayed in the brick officer's quarters (19A & B, 17, 16 A & B, 15 A & B) have interior photos that they would kindly share. I have seen all that are posted on this and on the reservation site, which are few in number. We are planning a large gathering and few photos are available of bedrooms, stairwells, kitchens (I haven't seen any for the bricks), and dining rooms. I am attempting to get an idea of room size and furnishings. Anyone who has some and is willing to share, thank you!

I stayed in 16A just last month. I took photos of 15A three years ago. Fort Robinson can email you the floor plans of all their cabins if you ask them. One place to get an overview of Fort Robinson is to go on.
