Just a good place to gather. We had a family reunion here. Not fancy, but if you like the outdoors and historic sites it's a good one.

We stopped off here for a few hours and spent and enjoyable time wandering about, visiting the museum and having lunch. It was interesting to learn about the fort's history and its role in the conflicts with Native Americans.

We stayed at the fort's lodge, which is an historic barracks, to attend the fort's annual historic Christmas dinner in early December. The rooms were very sparse but adequate. Unfortunately, the historic wood floors have been covered with cheap laminate and some of the historic...More

We came for a family reunion over the solar eclipse. There was more than enough space and a perfect view. Lots of places to explore, too.

You cannot drive through the area where you would get good photos of wildlife and landscapes. We did the 50 minute jeep ride and got photos of big horn sheep, antelope, flowers, and the beautiful view from the top. The jeep... More

We didn't spend the night and didn't have time to tour the cabins but I think they have everything. I want to go back and stay in the officer's quarters.

I stayed in 16A just last month. I took photos of 15A three years ago. Fort Robinson can email you the floor plans of all their cabins if you ask them. One place to get an overview of Fort Robinson is to go on.
