Whitefish Mountain Resort, in northwest Montana, is noted for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing, and unbeatable value. The resort sees an average of 300 inches of snow on its 3,000 acres, and is as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good snow conditions. When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops, in addition to spectacular hiking, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, Glacier National Park, and more available in the greater Whitefish area. It is the perfect base camp for a summer visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley.

We had a great week...cuz it snowed 4 out of 6 days! Excellent grooming of 60 runs each night, some black diamonds. We could find powder spots those days. One friend took a couple lessons...Jeff gave her some good tips and she is an advanced skier. Only bummer was the cloud that sat on top most days but that's where... More

Never having been to Whitefish for skiing before we were interested to see how the mountain measured up to our Canadian ski hills. It was AMAZING. Tons of different lifts and runs, plus there was about 20 inches of fresh powder. Can say much about how well the runs were groomed, since we couldn't even see them. Had an awesome... More

What an amazing ski trip we had. It was absolutely a wonderful time. The views and trails were so beautiful and the conditions were awesome. It's like a hidden treasure compared to other more well known ski resorts.

The runs are so long compared to many other mountains I've experienced. The mountain is very large and you can ski on several sides of the mountain. The best side to ski is the back side from our experience.. Seems like every time we visit, we discover a new side or lift on the mountain! Great service, friendly people, and... More

Friends who skied said it is a really awesome mountain. The view was awesome from mid-mountain and there was a great place to hang out on the deck and relax!

We lucked out to get 2 full days of amazing powder but the cooks at Summit house really go that extra mile to make your experience worth talking about and worth going back for. Prices are reasonable for a resort and the food is varied and delicious. Will be back in about a week. C u then.

Positives - short lift lines, even on President's day weekend. The fellow skiers/boarders were all friendly and down-to-earth (no Vail-like money pressure). Quite varied terrain and style of runs. Lodging staff were excellent! (Austin and Dave!!) Lodging options quite varied and fairly priced. Negatives - the weather. (Note, I'm not blaming the resort for the particular weather; it's the average... More

We came down from Fernie, BC where we have a condo and ski regularly. We decided to mix it up and left Fernie at 7 am and made it to the bottom of the hill at 9:15, pretty easy drive. The snow was great and the runs were great, although me and my two teenage boys found the hill easier... More

Friendly ski area. Shuttle to front door from parking lot nice. Conditions were good, some fresh snow. A few icy patches. Temps. Are warming up and some lite drizzle. Not the kind of powder skiing you get in Colorado. Lift lines short. Can get lots of runs in. Didn't like the long set of steps you had to haul your... More
