Fascinating any time of the year

Since it was winter and the visitor center was closed, we just drove by, but it was still pretty impressive. We've been here before in warm weather and highly recommend a stop.

Quake lake is very beautiful! I have seen moose, fox and deer, elk. I took the road coming for the west up to quake lake in the winter. Wasn't plowed yet! Very scary I wouldn't go up there unless it was plowed! I slid down the hill even in my 4 wheel drive! Great place when it's plowed or in... More

There's just something about this place.... Very interesting area. The visitor center tells you a lot about what happened in the 50s. There's an informative display & a film. Don't miss it!

I was a very humbling experience to go back and try to remember what it looked like in 1959. The Markers along the highway provide a great deal of information about what happened that night in 1959.

Lovely large lake....appears there would be a lot of activity in warmer weather. We were there late September and not much going on, but lots of fishing camps around.

What a beautiful lake this is! The drive around it is gorgeous and not very far from either West (Yellowstone) or Island Park ID.

While driving from West Yellowstone to Glacier National Park we drove along Earthquake Lake .. not really knowing where the name came from. The drive was gorgeous.
