A very large lake, fully frozen, as I visited in the peak of winter. It is in a beautiful, narrow valley. Could sight mountain sheep in this valley, next to the lake

The visitor center is an excellent place to visit to learn about the 1959 earthquake. It has lots of pictures and videos about that quake that was 7.4 in magnitude.

Knowing the history it is worth seeing. But the feeling that I get I do not want to spend a long time at the point of interest. I always take friends and family to see it.
