Very interesting area to visit that is a short drive from West Yellowstone. The information boards are well done, easy to read and understand. Reading about the history of the area, the earthquake, and impact to the residents during night was very interesting.

Interesting story of the quake of 1959. Great views of the area, but visit the visitor center to get a full grasp of the event.

I was amazed to see and hear about the earthquake that formed this lake and see the video of some of the people who went through it. It is well worth the side trip to see this amazing lake.

I had never heard of Earthquake Lake before until I was there last week but was fascinated once I heard about it and then saw it for myself. This was such a tragedy. We stumbled across this quite by accident and I'm so glad we...More

We visited Yellowstone Park in the winter in snow coaches. One of the locals told us to be sure and go to Quake Lake and see the Mountain Goats. We drove about 13 miles toward Quake Lake and Ennis, Montana and came upon hundreds of...More
