We stopped by to try their local brews. Atmosphere is fun in this historic building. There does not appear to be food, but there is a small pizza and BBQ place next door that looks as though they'll deliver. Beer was good. Place was fun.

No nonsense microbrewery and local hangout in Stevensville. Standard beers (blonde, pale, porter, IPA, etc), along with seasonal and brewers whims. The cutthroat IPA is not to be missed - in this age of hop wars, sour beers, and extreme ingredient arms races, their cutthroat IPA is well balanced, consistent and one of the best I've ever had. Service is... More

I go to this location a ton. The beer is great, the service is awesome, and it is close to some good food! If you have spent your whole life drinking beer from St. Louis, stop by here and and the good stuff! Get off your "training wheels" and have a porter!

Just made a short stop for a late afternoon beer, on the drive from Hamilton to Missoula. Actually it was my local Missoulian friend who suggested it be worth the stopover, since I was going through an awful lot of breweries in the Missoula area looking for a good pilsner. The façade is pretty much Montana brewery old fashion rustic... More

Privately owned and operated this brewery puts out some great beers. Eric, the owner, has a constant oversight of what is going on, and hires some great brewmasters and offers a variety of seasonal beers. One of my favorites is the Porter, and the ladies prefer...the Blonde. Keep in mind, limited hours....due to the 'Brewery' title. Only snacks served, but... More

Cosy old building and they product a great ale. Love that they retained as much of the old building as possible.

This is a great place to stop for a few micro-brew beers. The cut throat IPA and the Porter our our favorites, but the seasonal beers are also very good. It is a local watering hole, with lots of interesting and friendly guests. They have live music regularly, but it is too loud for conversation when the music is live.... More

We like hoppy IPAs, bitter and flavorful. Blacksmith has the best IPA of all the western Montana breweries. They serve no food, but customers may pick up food at local restaurants and bring it into the brewery. The old, remodeled building has a lot of atmosphere.
