Long trip with mixed results.
Oct. 2021
My first experience at this hotsprings. Drove over 4 hours to spend two days with my sisters for a family get together. We pulled up find a red Trump flag 2024 flying front and center. This is not an election year and was offensive. We came to relax and "get away". Had we not come so far we would have demanded our money back and left. The cabin was clean and nicely appointed. The water, however, in the cabin was not drinkable. We ended up having to buy many gallons of water so we could stay. It is a reasonable expectation that you can have drinkable water for teeth, and general cooking when you are paying top dollar to stay. This needs to be remedied with a water cooler in each unit. The hotsprings water is nice and the wet sauna particularly nice. The pools were enjoyable. The staff was helpful.

Sleeping Buffalo outing. Wonderful accommodations, very helpful staff, clean and orderly. Ditch the flag stuff.
Aug. 2021
My wife and I recently stayed at Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs near Saco, MT. The accommodations were excellent, staff were cordial and informative. The grounds were impeccably cared for and the pool, hot tub, and sauna were clean and inviting. This was not our first outing at Sleeping Buffalo having previously visited 3 years ago.
There’s a “however” in our most recent visit. The owner/proprietor feels compelled to fly a Trump flag at the entrance of door to check in. As a guest at any location I don’t need to have any flag fluttering in my face upon check-in. It isn’t about politics, but simply common sense. We are from Montana and drove 300 miles to soak and relax only to have this nonsense front and center. Owner: get a grip on reality and your business.

Perfect for a 1 night stay as we traveled East
Aug. 2021 • Family
A little confusing when you first pull up trying to figure out where the office was! We figured it out and the lady at the front desk was very nice. Since we were camping and not staying in the cabins there was an extra charge to use the pools. The campground was pretty empty and quite open but we picked site 4 which was partially shaded. The pools were nice ( a hot one, a really cold one, a big warm one along with a sauna). It smelled like sulphur in there due to it being a natural hot springs- that was normal so it didn’t bother us. They have a little convenience store and a coffee/cappuccino machine in there. The bathrooms were clean, showers were good ( again be prepared for sulphur-smelling water) and there was curtains instead of bathroom stall doors but that didn’t bother us. There were tons of mosquitoes even though we sprayed the area around our camper with yard spray- it didn’t work. So we cooked dinner over the fire, ate quickly, and then spent the evening in the camper. This is a great place for a quick stopover.

Unpleasant Stay & Lots of Issues
Jul. 2021 • Family
We stayed in the RV Park overnight and regretted it. Our short stay was full of unpleasant and frustrating experiences. When we checked in the front desk manager said they had forgotten about the night’s RV reservations. When we got to our spot we found the utility hook ups were on the wrong side, the resort was using our water for their grass sprinklers, and the fuse on the electrical was out, so we couldn’t get electricity at our reserved spot. When we tried to get help at 9 PM, the doors to the building were locked, we couldn’t find an employee on the grounds, and no one answered the phone after many calls. The site smelled strongly of natural gas (not the sulphur from the hot springs), I suspect from a leaky propane tank. Few trees or shade. WiFi doesn’t reach campsites.

Also-the grounds have an extreme mosquito infestation. Like, so bad it’s not possible to be outside even for a few moments without getting swarmed. The bath house is full of bugs, grimy, without locks, and flimsy shower curtains for doors.

The hotel lobby has a Trump 2024 sign flying outside the front entrance. I have never seen a hotel or campsite fly a flag for a political candidate. It was one more thing that made a crummy atmosphere worst.

RV Park infested with mosquitos
Jun. 2021 • Family
We stayed at this RV park on our way to Glacier National Park. We read several reviews that commented on the mosquitos. There are few recent reviews so we decided to try it. We wish we would have heeded others advise. We pulled in around 6 PM and noticed immediately going outside all the mosquitos. We witnessed them spraying several of the sites. We layered up with bug spray and tried eating outside and quickly had to relocate inside and stay there all night. The sites had no shade or trees. We checked out the bathrooms and it is as a lot of reviews suggested-no locks and not secure. This stretch of Montana there aren’t a lot of options, but be prepared if you do choose to stay here.

Girls weekend
Jan. 2021 • Friends
This place is the perfect getaway for a quiet winter weekend. Came with my best friend and we love it! The cabin is perfect, after public hours we had the pool to ourselves for a bit until a few other guests came in. Had such a relaxing time, can’t wait to come back again!

Great Get-Away/Escape Destination
Jun. 2020
This was an amazing treat in the middle of a long trip throughout Montana. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, comfortable, and had every ammenity we could have wanted (cozy bedding, full-sized stove, smart television, outdoor grill, lovely bathroom), the hot-spring was relaxing and family friendly without being "only for the kids". We were able to truly relax, and had access at the onsite store to anything we hadn't brought with us, and plenty of grill/pizza options for the 9-year-old. I truly wish we could have stayed longer.

Awesome get away! Will be returning!
Feb. 2020
I used to come here over 30 yrs ago with my Grandma. She loved hot springs. I obviously don’t remember much from then but was very happy with what I experienced now. The staff was very friendly and did everything to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms in the building are clean and very nice. The pool area was very clean. We will be making regulars trips here! I definitely recommend it!
There is no restaurant on site but they do have fridges.
