I've been coming to Red Lodge for years and this place was amazing! No one was there and we got to catch a few small trout! I highly recommend packing a lunch and hanging out here for a few hours.

This impoundment of a local creek was restored some time ago & is now a Forest Service picnic area., A local businessman built a dam to create a pond. He also constructed docks, a swim area and a dance pavilion, Sadly, there's no pavilion today.

This is such a pretty little lake. Water is crystal clear and you can see to the bottom. Lots of small trout and great place to take small children. There are also some hiking trails.

The lake isn't exactly visible from the parking lot, but it is only a few steps to the shore. There is a trail all the way around the lake. Lots of trees, two fishing docks and about half of the trail is suitable for a...More
