Visited the Museum on a raining cold day to kill time. Pleasantly surprised. The history was laid out very effectively. Loved the dinosaurs room.

This is a beautiful, new, well appointed facility located on a college campus. Lots of great information on dinosaurs. Lots of donations from nearby land owners. There's also good info on native Americans and the early American historical development issues. The place has a planetarium.

We enjoyed seeing the largest collection of dinosaur bones in the Country and the exhibits on Yellowstone and the earlier people of the Rockies. Nice and easy to walk thru the amazing exhibits.

If you are interested in the latest interpretations of what we know about dinosaurs, this is the place. It is the only place I have seen that has different age fossils and talks about how juveniles are different than adults. It was really interesting and...More

Well done! Informative displays and arrangements of information regarding the discovery and preservation of dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures. The dinosaur exhibits are more impressive than what I have seen in bigger places, and we really liked the Planetarium, where we watched several of the shows. However, strangely the combination or both, the dinosaur animation in the planetarium, looked quite amateurish. In contrast, the...More

Great museum full of information I never knew until visiting this museum. Fascinating. We spent about four hours here. Timed our visit so we could see two planetarium shows.

Museum really packs a punch for a "smaller" town. We were impressed by all the different exhibits, but mostly the Living Homestead Exhibit. It's only open seasonally so check before you go as you won't want to miss it.

It depends on how much the kids are into dinosaurs and the timing of the planetarium show. If it is the 'right' show the 4&6 year old might enjoy it so check the schedule and that will I think determine it. 1-2 hours
