We stopped by Boot Hill Cemetery one evening, to look over Billings, and to learn what we could about the cemetery and it's history. I don't know if a historical society maintains the property, but if they do, they've lost their grass trimmers. There is...More

The town does not have this attraction well marked. We found the graves site to be interesting part of Billings history.

A small cemetery where citizens of the long-lost city of Coulson, Montana, were buried. The future of Coulson depended on steamships for travel and commerce. Nearby Billings was built on the future of the railroads. We all know how that story ended. Too bad the...More

Although it has some interesting history about the town that died next to Billings there is little to see at this island between roads. The metal crosses are covered in tall grass and why not since there is no writing on them. This place is...More

My husband was from Billings and takes the grandkids there to see the grave stones. Also tells the older ones it was a great place to go necking in his youth. nice place to see. Kids had fun.

A nice side show to get the flavor of the Old West. Good starting point for climbing the RimRocks. Don't miss the Indian legend of the suicide ride

A little hard to find. Not spectacular but with its semi-abandoned look (headstones hidden by grasses) it does look authentic.

It's an interesting place, but it is not mowed; grass is tall. There are 40 steel crosses, but no indication as to who is there. There are a couple of marked stones as well. A historic sign is posted. It doesn't tell too much.
