Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Between the beauty, the kindness of Max our amazing host and of course the incredible wine it was truly a memorable experience. The wine is very affordable and most importantly, delicious. Max really made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the experience, and has a wealth of knowledge to add to it too!We can only hope that Jonquéres d'Oriola comes to Ireland! All the best, your Irish Friends Katie and Paul 😊

Terrible customer service!
Go to Clos de Paullies instead,it has a much more beautiful location, and friendly service.
We booked a tour based on photo’s and reviews. Due to a traffic deviation we were 2 minutes late. The tour person barked at me as I entered, asked me very rudely why I was there, and because my daughter wanted to use the toilet, he commented to the other couple ‘Now we will have to wait even longer’ His manner was such a disappointment! I speak conversational French, always speak in French rather than expect the opposite, and my family are polite and humble. We spend months at a time in this region every year and usually find the locals warm and genuine. I am not sure if this guide dislikes English clients or if we were unfortunate enough to get a particularly miserable guide, but we did not stick around for the tour.

Thank you for taking the time to share a review about your recent experience at Chateau de CORNEILLA.
We are disheartened to hear that your visit felt so disappointing to say the least.
We always pride ourselves on providing a warm and friendly welcome to our visitors and in this instance it looks like there’s been a serious misunderstanding, probably due to some language distortion.
As you often come to our beautiful region, please accept an invitation to a new visit and tasting of our INDIGENE new sulfite free wine, together with a surprise gift as a token of our sincerest apologies.
Gratefully yours

Five of us walked for obvious reasons (and bused back) to this ancient cave chateau. Our host was friendly and he spoke very good English - alternating from French to English to satisfy all visitors. We tried several types of wine in a specific order, so an not to numb our tastebuds.

We visited yesterday, and were met by a very knowledgeable young woman (I didn't catch her name) who immediately knew we were English. She went through the example plantation and tasting of about a dozen wines in English. All of the wines were very nice, and it was difficult to choose which ones to buy. They even have freshly pressed grape juice for the kids to drink whilst the adults try the alcohol version, which is a nice touch. If thoroughly recommend a visit.

We have passed this chateau hundreds of time when traveling on the nearby main road but never called in. At La Marenda in Banyuls sur Mer we were introduced to the wines and they are very good . For us the Reds and whites are favourites.
Great view of the snow capped mountains from the garden.

On a terribly rainy day my wife and I were looking for something to do and are so happy that we found the cave to taste the wines. We were welcomed in from the rain and had an amazing tasting and learned about the wines and grapes of the region. Even with our limited French we were extremely pleased at the quality of English spoken to help us learn about these lovely wines. We are looking forward to finding a place near us in Paris to buy more, once we finish what we brought back of course! Thank you so much again for welcoming us and hopefully some day we can come back and see the chateau when the weather is a little nicer.
Oh and by the way dinner recommendations in the area were outstanding!
