I was on a trip looking for something local to see and picked this place. Traveling to this address I arrived at a 'scrap yard' looking place (no disrespect for anybody who works there) Considering my GPS got me to the correct address and my phone confirmed it ...

I'm sorry you did not find us! 2400 S. Scenic is only accessible from Scenic Ave. by vehicle (Greenway walkers and bicycles can get in by Sunset and Austin St). There is a 30 foot tall "Botanical Gardens" sign listing all the attractions at this park at our entrance on Scenic. It sits between the Villages at Nathanael Greene Apartments... More

The high level of gardening expertise was unexpected. The Japanese Garden was a relaxing reward for several days on the highway. It would be hard to reproduce this garden. It took years for it to reach this level. Take the phone tour the explains the meaning of each feature. Very educational too.

I took a Church group on a Day Trip to Springfield from Lake of the Ozarks. This stroll garden is part of the Springfield Botanical Garden. The stroll garden costs $5.00, although I got a group discount. Very beautiful garden.

Beatiful, peaceful, serene. Entrance fee is best value in entertainment the whole vacation. I only wish I had gone when leaves changed color for the fall. The many Japanese maples would have flamed me into awe. I have a feeling this garden is relatively new. The one in Fort Worth is more dense vegetation wise. I can see this one... More

Lots of places to take beautiful photos. New things added each year. Kind of out of the way, but worth stopping at when everything is in bloom.

I hadn't been in a few years so very happily surprised to see the renovations in pathways making them more accessible, more benches for peaceful pauses, and more waterfalls. Great improvements with the whole botanical garden.
