What an eclectic museum. On the main floor were interesting sculptures and art by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Degas, and assorted American artists. In the basement was the money museum. That was very interesting. Upstairs were more contemporary pieces. The gallery is small but it packed a punch.

Cool art museum on a college campus. Some of the most beautiful pieces we've seen. If you love large paintings this is the place for you. Also you'll find Picasso, Pollack and other greats too. The building is stunning too! What we didn't like, the young man behind the desk that asked us to check in online and then followed... More

Specializing in modern and contemporary art, this small university art museum has beautiful spaces and some outstanding pieces. Great for a brief visit, on the edge of Forest Park

This is a little gem of a museum situated on the Washington University campus. Admission is free. It combines a small collection of quality modern art pieces and student work from the university's MFA program. When we were there, many people were taking advantage of art lessons using live (clothed) models. A nice place to spend an hour. Friendly staff.

Almost missed this museum. Permanent collection is unusually strong for small museum. Free. If visiting St. Louis and like modern art I would strongly suggest you not miss this one.

Lovely little art museum on the Washington University campus. Closed on Tuesday (thought that was odd because usually museums are closed on a Monday). Very helpful staff and you can wander about on your own. Visually appealing exhibit space and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The space was beautifully curated with lovely pieces by Miro, Munch, Picasso, Warhol and many other heavy hitters. Impressive collection that was well presented. The guides were super friendly and knowledgeable about the art. A must visit for art lovers to STL.

Presently there are two great exhibits. One on World War I and the other showing the paintings of Winston Churchhill. The museum is free.

We were disappointed that the museum was closed on Tuesday but managed to come back on Wednesday. It was well worth it. The exhibit of European Expressionist from their collection was outstanding and consisted of premier examples of each artist and included artists typically not seen in good examples. The Marsden Hartley in another exhibit was worth the trip. And... More
