It starts from the moment you park your car and begin your walk to the museum, the site is spectacular. As you enter the main lobby you will immediately know you are in a special place and can't wait to see some magnificent art piece. Yes the art presented is wonderful but the environment helps to make the experience more... More

This is a good quality art museum with lots of different exhibits. It has three floors and great collection of art from many different periods. I recommend visiting good for all ages.

We were amazed at the size of this museum! We only got through the first floor on our visit and it was more than enough to keep art admirers busy for a few hours! Cafe downstairs has tasty and reasonably priced (for museum food) sandwiches.

Over 30,000 pieces of art; Sundays they have free art activities for children. A world class collection in a stunning facility.

This was my young teenage sons' first visit to a metropolitan art museum. They both enjoyed spending a hot July day inside seeing the art.

We went on a free Friday evening. I could have spent hours - but I have teenagers. We walked around for 2 hours. It was great to see all the exhibits. Has elevators for disabled.

The Museum has a great collection of German Expressionist paintings and prints, with an emphasis on the works of Max Beckmann. Well worth a visit for those works alone. The main restaurant, Panorama, is very good and the cafe in the lower level is reasonably priced. Admission is free.

I have so many great things to say about SLAM that I'm not sure where to start. It's easy to find, and parking is free and convenient (there is also paid parking, if you prefer). The museum itself is easy to navigate, with spacious areas that never feel crowded. The collections are superb, and there is something for everyone. Mummies?... More

Not only do you get to experience the location of the 1904 World's Fair, you get to experience a lot of American history. We were so surprised by the great examples of modern art at this museum. Picassos, Monets, Miro, Degas, Mondrian and more! We really enjoyed the exhibits and it was all FREE! Very cool!

Another free, fun event. You can make a day of it and the whole family will enjoy it. This is also a great rainy day event.
