It's free, it's an EXCELLENT tour, AND very, very educational and informative. I recommend this tour to all adults. The docents are full of knowledge and very personable also.

This is such a wonderful Italian renaissance style building. So much detail is in every corner, and the best part it is a functioning public Library. It was one of the libraries that Carnegie helped to establish and was designed by Cass Gilbert (Woolworth bldg-fame)....More

Very good tour, the tour was about 45 minutes. Gave lots of historic insight. Worth a couple of hours to look around. We went on a Saturday morning, there was plenty of metered parking available near the front entrance.

My son loves library's as well as I. This is a beautiful building and enjoyed the wood work in some areas. We visited on a Sunday so we did not get to go upstairs. Bummed about that!!

The tour of this magnificent library is amazing. The character of the old building and all the artwork and finishing touches have to be seen. The tour provides much more information than just walking through the library. Well worth the time!

Not your regular library by any stretch. The sculptures, brass filigree and North 'Writers' Reflection Pool' do hide the practical stacks and e-systems of an incomparable 21st Century library.

We stopped in just because our innkeepers said it was worth seeing, and was it ever. Along with the lobby of the Union Station Hotel, this was the most beautiful "from a lost era" sight we saw. The ceilings are spectacular, the place is spacious...More
