Something you should do if visiting St. Louis. We had a sunny day and enjoyed the 1 hour cruise after a visit at the arch. The tour was narrated with great information on what we saw on both sides of the river and all the bridges. It's always a great perspective to see a city from the sea (or from... More

Had a place to sit outside in the shade. Only bad thing was it was on the wrong side of the boat. The guide talked about things on the other side of the boat that we couldn't see although when the boat had turned around we saw the things he talked about. The loud speaker was easy to hear, the... This is part of the US National Park service. The views are unique and beautiful. The Arch Park is under renovation and therefore the access was a bit difficult and a long walk. Well worth the effort. The Arch and boat combo was great. Well organized for large numbers of people. An informative video about the Arch construction included

The only day we had available to do this river boat trip on the Missouri was a day when the sky decided it had to empty every drop of rain it possessed on us. Nevertheless, sheltering under the awnings on one side we enjoyed a good commentary and excellent views of the barges plying up and down the river. It... More

There is something about rain on the water that is very relaxing...unfortunately, it hinders the view of the city. Glad to hear that you were able to make lemonade out of lemons. Thanks for posting! More

We went on the lock and dam cruise on the river this past Saturday. Weather was glorious and the cruise was most enjoyable. You are on the river for over four hours. You get to go through a lock, cruise past the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers, and get postcard views of the St. Louis Riverfront. The lunch... More

Good to hear you enjoyed your day on the river! St. Louis has had a lovely October, making the end of season cruises even more enjoyable. I am happy to pass along your smoking comments to our Riverboat Director. As for the ticket, we have implemented a new ticketing system for this season's cruises and our IT department is still... We have been on river/short cruises in places as diverse as London England to San Fransisco. This was no different than others - you get to see the city from a different view and learn new things and fun facts. Yes this is a smaller city so not as much to see as on bigger city cruises but the stories... More

I read the reviews on T/A before going...several were luke warm to less than that. "Finding" the parking lot for the boat tour ($5.00 for all day) was...well...a challenge to say the least. Finding the levee - not as straight forward as you may suspect. After about 30 minutes and several stops to ask for more specific directions - we... More

Not much to see and there are only so many facts you can give about derelict buildings. They did the best they could though and we got some great shots of the arch. My main gripe is the water wheel doesn't turn...it's just for show.

Hello and thanks for your review! It is true that the Gateway Arch Riverboats are replicas of the great steamboats from the 1800s, so the smokestacks and paddle wheels are more for appearance than function. We appreciate your honesty and are glad you still enjoyed the downtown cityscape views and Arch photo opps from the river. More

Loved it! First time taking this trip! First up in the arch then on the river boat! Both were nice and relaxing! Also very educational.
