We aren't Catholic, but were awe struck by the Cathedral. It features both Roman and Byzantine Architecture in a very puposeful display. It is the largest display of glass mosiac in the world and is guaranteed to hold your attention for at least 30 minutes.

Just beautiful and well worth the free tour if you can get one. A very interesting history. Matches any Basilica we have seen in our travels to Italy and other places.

Went to mass there on our way out of town. The church is exquisitely beautiful. Go on a guided tour when available if you can. It's amazing what you'll learn!

This basilica is very beautiful with mosaic glass decorating every corner. It is a functioning church to check service times before visiting. No pictures are allowed during service.
