Beautiful old courthouse with an interesting history. View courtrooms, informative displays and gorgeous rotunda with beautiful murals. There is a ranger on site to answer questions, and it’s free!

I’d like that it was open early while I was waiting for the Archway to open. Did not know about much of the history of the courthouse. I’m glad I got to see it. You get to roam around the place and see all the...More

We didn't spend much time in there as it isn't entertaining for kids. We did get some nice photos though. It doesn't take long to go through this if you are planning out a time frame. You can figure less than an hour if you...More

My only regret is not having more time to explore the history contained in this grand building. Hold on, this is way more than history. An amazing combination of American Grandeur (Flags and Americana Patriotism), hIstory, and architecture. Don’t forget to ask about the turtles...More

This is well maintained site and you can go 3 floors up into the doom. It is the site of the first Dred Scott trials.

My teenage daughter and I loved the Old Courthouse! There's so much history here. She loved that she could learn more about the Dred Scott decision here since she, coincidentally, had just going over it in school. I personally loved the original staircase and the...More

Parking isn't cheap. I don't know about street parking/meters, but the ramps can be expensive. Weekends may be cheaper (at least they are in Minneapolis), but I don't know about St. Louis. I'm sure there is a web site for... More
