I hate to write a bad review about an historical site but this place is simply not worth wasting your time to visit. Old building. Up keep not up to par. Security not good. I did not feel safe. Simply a big shopping mall and food court. All overpriced, food not good. Everything overpriced. The highlight of the trip was... More

Union Station is such a historic landmark, it is too bad there are so many vacant stores inside. Enter through the hotel on Market street and you can enjoy spectacular architecture throughout. Don't miss the Whispering Arch at the foot of the main staircase...a ton of fun. Enjoy a drink in the upper bar of the hotel overlooking the station... More

I looked forward to going here but after I got there we couldn't find the main entrance to the mall area. The whole front and one side of the old depot is for hotel guests only. We finally got in through what would have been an old truck to rail and vice versa loading dock area when some lady was... More

Love the hotel esp at night when they do the light show! The old station is a mix of fast foods food court, museum of RR history, entertainment and shops. Go to the back and outside, small lGoon to ride peddle boats, fed ducks and koi, Hardrock Cafe and Landrys restaurant

The Grand Hall is magnificent with statues, stained glass and the "whispering arches" at the front door. Just added is a 10 minute mini movie projected on the ceiling, depicting various historical events in St. Louis. St. Louis is celebrating 250 years this year.

Fascinating old rail station with a lot of history, but the reincarnation as a mall is struggling. Several tacky shops, a few fast food places and not much more.

I am not sure what other reviewers were looking for in a hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Several knew a great deal about the history of this beautiful landmark. If you enjoy history and incredible architecture, you will love this hotel. Is it a quirky place to stay when compared top ranking hotels,... More

Twenty years past we visited this location and spent the afternoon as there was many things to do and enjoy. We returned this year and were sadly disappointed as many of the places we visited have departed and what remains are unappetizing food options and stores that sell overpriced and shoddy goods. There is nothing there to attract tourists to... More

This spot is STILL among my favorites in St. Louis, even though I've noted that some other visitors to St. Louis have decried the closing of so many of the businesses inside the attached mall. Well........HELLO, people...did you all not notice a recent economic downturn?!? We're lucky they stuck it out to keep the mall open at all, but better... More
