1st of all I do NOT wish to discourage anyone from visiting the zoo. It is a phenomenal day for young and old alike, but.... Entrance is free but a bottle of water is $3.50. There are water fountains available for warm water and we did find one place to refill our bottle with cold but only one. Food is... More

If you are visiting St.Louis, you must visit our zoo. When you enter Forest Park from Hampton Ave you will see the wonderful artwork on the outside border. Forest Park surrounds the entrance and if you do not want to pay for parking, you can find a spot on the road. The zoo is free and every year they upgrade... More

Loved the train! Loved the sea lion show! Loved the sting rays! Didn't love the price of food or bottled water. Some of the attractions were super crowded.

Put on you walking shoes. There's a lot to see. Ride the train. See the shows. Food/Bev's not that expensive. On prime days, you'd better get there early before the parking lots fill. You can have a ball all day for free; but some things are going to cost.

This is the absolute best zoo I have ever been to and it has FREE admission. There are some of the exhibits, train rides etc that do charge a nominal fee but even if you don't pay to experience these exhibits there are so many more that you can see and do that it will keep you busy all day.... We are so lucky to have a World Class Zoo in St. Louis, MO and it's FREE! Many of the exhibits allow the animals to live in their own type of habitat so they don't seem enclosed.

My kids have loved the St. Louis zoo for as long as they can remember. Every exhibit is well cared for, clean, and interesting. The layout of the zoo is easy to navigate, but be prepared for some walking. Because it's free, sometimes we will go just for an hour and spend time at two or three exhibits. The zoo... More

I've visited a lot of zoos including all those rated in the top 5 and hands down I'd pick the St Louis Zoo to visit every day over the others. 1. It's free to get in! 2. They're constantly improving it and creating new attractions, so that every year when I go I get to see something new 3. I... More
