Very small museum. It is his house he lived in after all his bad deeds. There wasn’t a lot of information about him prior to being there or why he was doing there. Living there.

I found this small house fascinating as it lent a window into the life of this young outlaw. One could visualize James climbing up onto the chair with his back turned to Ford. Ford took advantage of the situation to pick up his gun and...More

For years while driving to Kansas City I've seen billboards saying to visit St. Joseph and see the home where Jesse James was shot. We finally did it. It is located directly behind the Patee House and is a separate admission fee. It was fascinating...More

Great stop for history buffs, JJ buffs, and everyone else! You can spend as much time as you like. The house and bullet hole alone are worth the stop. Check it out if you're ever in St. Joe

Who doesn't want to see the bullet hole in the wall? There are also news clippings and other pertinent stuff. Certainly worth the price of admission. Look for Frank James' rattlesnake tie.

This is a must see while in the Saint Joseph area if your family has any interest in Jesse James! Very small house that gets crowded with a few family’s and worth the $4.00 (they give a discount if you belong to AAA). The small...More

It takes 30 min or less to see where Jesse James lived for 100days before he was killed. There is an audio tape that plays when you come in, that sets the scene for the event. You can also see the bullet hole. One room...More

I think the Chamber of Commerce may have had pamphlets. The Patee Museum had a lot of brochures and I am sure they had one on this one.
