Small, but interesting

$4 - very small home, but still lots of history with interesting information. Takes about 30 minutes or less to get through.

Very detailed where he lived his last 100 days of his life. Very informative that this was really him, by using DNA evidence when it came available.

We found ourselves in the area and walked over after the Pony Express Museum. It was a tiny (basically) three-room museum but it was interesting to see the house and some artificers. The staff member shared some interesting lore that was mentioned in the displays, but we may have missed it if it weren't for her comments. Very good museum... More

This museum was just ok. I mean it's worth the trip if your in town but not so much worth driving out of your way for. Staff was friendly and the played a little audio to describe what went down. This house has. Even moved onsite from its original place, which we visited before. I think it would have been... More

We enjoyed seeing this house as a piece of St. Joe history. The man working at the museum was knowledgeable and we enjoyed chatting with him. There's also an audio recording overhead which is helpful and informative.

This small house is outfitted and decorated in the proper historical period décor, with real artifacts and furniture dating back to the 1870's. For those who have not been indoctrinated with western American history, it can be much more interesting. It is not a "Hands Off" exhibit, although the polite visitor will not be handling the exhibit pieces. There is... More

This is a very small, 4 room house but with its history you can hardly pass it by. The gentleman at the door was very friendly & knowledgeable & there were several things to look at and read. The furnishings aren't original to the home but there are some Jessie James artifacts. It was interesting to see the bullet hole... More
