Went for the whale watching since the area is considered the most plentiful feeding ground for whales. Saw no whales at all. The ocean and cliffs are like all others, beautiful but nothing spectacular. The town of Gaspé has two cafes and one full restaurant...More

We debated whether to drive from Quebec City via New Brunswick or extend the trip by a day to experience the Gaspesie region of Quebec. We were well rewarded as the views of the Gulf of St Lawrence, small Quebec villages and beautiful landscape changes...More

We made a week-long drive around the Gaspe Peninsula along the coast. It was a really scenic drive every mile along the way. If you want a coastal/beach drive, this is the drive for you. We drove it counterclockwise. All along the way are little...More

We did a cross-Canada trip in July 2017, going from the U.S. state of Washington, up to Revelstoke, B.C. and finishing in New Brunswick, next to the U.S. state of Maine. As I perused ahead on maps, tourist web sites, such as this one, and...More

So beautiful, a long drive but so worth it. The coastline is stunning. Perce was definitely my favorite place ...it is all very scenic with many little villages and ports , also very steep and twisty at times !! But so very beautiful and unique....More

Ship tourism is a major source of revenue for this small locale. If you're in the area it is a pleasant stop. The cathedral is unique as it is all made of wood. Some other old houses remain from mid-1800's. Enjoy.

Positive experiences The drive was was tremendous. It is so unique and different. Friendly people. Be adventurous! You do not need to take the entire perimeter loop . We went half way 3 hours and turned back around.

It depends what you like, but if you haven't done Mont Albert, that's worth some time. Percé should involve walking out to see the birds - it's not really the same if you haven't been up close & personal with them... More
