The Gir National Park is open from Mid - October onwards till mid June & The Devaliya Safari park (Gir Interpretation Zone) is open throughout the year. The Devalia Safari Park closed on every wednesday.

We visited in June and opted for morning safari because according to many chances to see lions are more in the morning. However we were not lucky enough to locate one. We could see foxes, peacocks, Nilgai, Owls etc.
