Recently I had the opportunity to attend an event at the Midland and the theater is amazing. It has the opulence of a much grander hall but in a somewhat smaller format. It makes you feel like you've stepped back in time to the roaring 20's. Some seating can be a bit cramped especially if you are over 6' but the... More

We visited to see Celtic Thunder and, yes the show was good. The theatre was an impressive old-school theatre with a lot of ornate decorations. Probably the best part was how well trained and friendly their staff was. It was busy, but everyone was friendly & helpful.

All seats have great views, not exactly comfortable but you can see the stage from all areas, Acoustics are good for such an old building

The old theatre is beautiful, but since the floor does not slope downward, nobody but the first two or three rows of seats could see Vince Gill at all. The acoustics were so bad that when he talked to the audience, we could not even hear him, back about 20 rows. People were getting up constantly and going out, coming... More

A very nice older historic theater. A great venue, comfortable, and great sound too. It's been kept up very well for sure.

Have been to this venue many, many times. Saw Tony Bennett there twice. Really, not a bad seat in the house, Acoustics are quite good for the age of the theater. Staff is both professional and friendly. Great for concerts as well as plays. It is just a great theater from back in the day that has been kept up... More

We went to see Alton Brown's Eat Your Science show. It was great. The venue was beautiful and it was nice that we were able to purchase large drinks from the bar next door and bring in to the show.

This was a wonderful event for cancer with Heart. The venue was very nice and convenient. A lot o f stairs but I love the circular bar on top in th back. There were other bars throughout. On the way out onto ythe street was another nice bar establishment. And of course heart put on a remarkable show as usual.... More

I've been to many concerts and shows at The Midland. It has been beautifully restored, and is one of the best indoor entertainment venues in Kansas City. It's like going to a concert in a museum!

This place is pristine, professionally staffed and a superb place for a concert! We have seen Tony Bennett and so, so many others and have never left less than pleased!
