While we found this museum interesting as far as the steamboat information goes, it would have been better to have a self guided tour. as the woman running the tour was dull and talked too much about things that had nothing to do with the...More

This tour starts with the story tellers talking about their first hand experience searching for and finding the sunken steamboat. History and memoirs recorded the event, but over the decades the river banks had moved, and the sunken steamboat had never been found. Of course...More

We went here based on a recommendation from a friend and I am glad we did. It was reasonably priced and I think well worth it. You go on a guided 45 minute tour and watch a 15 minute video before going into the display...More

My mom has been raving about this museum for years and we finally caved in and visited. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. If you're in to museums, seeing time period pieces from the 1850's, and seeing how settlers lived this is...More

Learn some history while being wowed with the items found! This place is amazing! After the video, Dave, one of the diggers who found the Arabia stood on front of us and answered questions. Just one magical place!

Thanks for asking. It is true that the admission cost for seniors is $13.50. Officially, we recommend about 90 minutes to do the whole tour, but as NOELKAT9791 pointed out, many folks can spend several hours. There's a... More
