    Lots to see
Stopped here while in a bus trip and passing through the area. Walked through the market. Lots of vendors offering numerous items such as flowers, food, vegetables, crafts, ect. Nice place to look around.

    TROLLY TOUR
Sisters in Kansas City for a wedding weekend. Took the Trolly which was right outside our hotel to the Market. What a fun and interesting place to visit. There are several buildings with all different ethnic markets with every food imaginable. Then there are lots of stalls and tents around it with some of the best looking and reasonably priced fruits and vegetables and some very unique food items too! The highlight was a Donut truck with the best fresh hot apple cider cinnamon donuts! Around the area are some shops and an antique shop that is several stories high filled to the brim. Fun day!

    Nice
We always have a nice time at City Market, but the farmer's market days are the best. I appreciate that they have smaller vendors rather than a bunch of professionals selling imported junk. The Yoki Japanese shop is nice, and the food stalls are great!

I suspect that "City Market" is really a staple for local residents. I am told that they operate a farmers' market on site regularly.

As a tourist, I explored City Market because I was also visiting the "Arabia Steamboat Museum". This aside, there's a nice eclectic assortment of shops on site. There are some good restaurants, too. I ate at one of them.

BTW .. free 2-hour parking is available. They enforce actively. I suspect that the parking lot uses a license plate reader to keep tabs on vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot, and that is how they keep track of how long you have been in the parking lot.

The city market was very nice with lots of little vender both local artist and famers. What really nice is that it’s surrounded by small restaurants, shops and the Arabia Museum. This little square has much more then I thought, definitely worth the stop.

Okay, going into this we knew what this would be like. Unique little shops and places to eat. The diversity of cultural food is splendid. We each chose a different place to eat. Some liked their meal while others were disappointed. Pigwich, Taste of Brazil, and Tikka House were the restaurants that members of our group ate at. Pigwich was disappointing for three people. The fries had been made ahead of time and sat around until needed. The sandwiches were just okay. Taste of Brazil and Tikka House were good, based on the others feedback.
The soda and spice shops were our favorite. We left with 12 bottles of goofy and weird pop. The spice shop had a lot of open containers of different spices to smell and purchase.
Unfortunately, the farmers market was not open on the weekday we went. However, there was one produce vendor open.
On the day we went, Wednesday, parking was easy to find and free. For something to do and stroll through, City Market is worth the visit. Masks were optional for visitors but vendor required.

I haven't been to the City Market for many years and it has grown quite a bit since then. There are a lot of vendors and plenty of things to chose from but its very crowded and parking is really dismal. I am glad we went but I doubt we go back very often due to the amount of work it takes to get parked.

We visited on a Friday so there wasn’t as much going on as we hoped. However we did eat wonderful authentic Mediterranean food. The falafel was perfect! I’ve heard on the weekends it’s packed and the place to be. It was nice even on a slow day.
I purchased fresh fruit and we have been enjoying it!

Love going to this place. Took my leashed dog and their security stated no dogs allowed. No dogs at a farmer's market? He's a highly trained dog that goes to Home Depot, Lowes, and Hobby Lobby. Seriously reconsider loosening the rules. You're not the Country Club Plaza.

We used to live in Parkville and made this a weekly shopping experience. Now that we're not in the area, we plan a monthly trip up.
Dim Sum on the weekends at Bo Ling's
Stocking up on red pepper paste, seasonings and fillo dough at the Al Habashi market
Wandering the fresh food vendors to get some great deals on fresh veggies and fruits.
Great food options from around the world all within three blocks!!!
Arabia Musuem great for hot or bad weather days!

Various countries culinary delights are represented here, along with farmers and local bakers. We missed trying gooey butter cake in St. Louis, but a lady was selling them here, and they are indeed very delicious! I was surprised. Great area to walk around, eat, drink, and shop. Well worth spending an hour or two here. We walked to the Chinese grocery across the street too.
