So Fun!! Take some cash!

This was a very cool train ride. At first, we found it to be just a little dull and wondered if it was worth the 6 hour drive, but then things got exciting! We were able to go... read more

We took a Friday night ride on this little train. It was really nice and fun to sit back think this is how people use to travel years ago. Staff are friendly and run this strictly on a volunteer basis every weekend. Can't wait to take another ride on it.

The best time! The folks that run this train are strictly volunteers so they want to be there. We took a ride and had Chili dogs for dinner and then stopped at a little village for s'mores and stories. Was the Coolest experience! We stopped the next day to get better pictures and the folks were great !

This was a very cool train ride. At first, we found it to be just a little dull and wondered if it was worth the 6 hour drive, but then things got exciting! We were able to go up in the engine and our daughter was allowed to drive the train! There are three passenger cars. The first has all... More

We went on the 1930's ride and had a very good time. Bonnie and Clyde robbed us. All the volunteers that make this train possible are so nice and kind. We had S'mores at the little village and enjoyed the stories and history of the train. If you are looking for a simple few hours of fun, this is the... More

Had a blast. My wife and I are going back in June for the Chuck wagon ride. The group that runs it are all volunteers and do a wonderful job.

All the staff (volunteers) were wonderful, friendly and helpful. We road on the Chocolate Train. We were served chocolate cupcakes, brownies, fudge, cake, candy, cookies and hot chocolate. We were stopped by train robbers that loved chocolate and was only taking chocolate. Looking forward to the next time we are in the area so we can ride again. Maybe the... More

The St. Louis Iron Mountain Railway is run solely on ticket sales and donations. All the folks that make this attraction possible are volunteers. We drove from Florida 1000 miles to take the Ghost Dinner Train on October 31st. All the people connected with this train are very courteous and want to help in any way they can. They maintain... This is a trip back in time. There is a lot of history that goes with this rail line. Everyone who works with the trains are volunteers, who love to explain the history of the engines, train cars and the rail lines.. The children will enjoy the Christmas tours with free candy and a visit from Santa. They do have... More

They call it a rolling museum, cars from the 1920's. It is fun thinking about the history. The volunteers have made a cute little "village" complete with chapel, store and cemetery! A different theme each week - you can find their schedule on their website. They even have a stationary museum car with different train items and an art car... More

We had a great ride on this old train! They provide lots of information about the train and the area along the way, and they keep the kids interested with coloring contests, singing, face painting, and other on-board activities (like books in the seat rows). There are snacks to purchase on board (and we brought leftovers on board from BG's... More
