A bit of fun

I did not eat at the tea room, but went straight to the maze. It is $10 per person to play two mazes (that are connected). It takes about on average 30 minutes to complete. It was... read more

Should have check tripadvisor....its closed for redevelopment of a new maze. We came to richmond to spend the day here and didn't realise we can just finish almost everything including the zoo. Now with the maze closed , its even more time for us.

It's gone. It became such a maze it got completely lost and isn't even there any more. Developers have moved in and will no doubt create a -mazing residential lots or some such thing in its place.

Kids were disappointed the maze was closed for renovations. Appears it has been shut for 5 or so months..... There is no indication when it might reopen

A lovely scenic drive, stopping in at a plethora of vineyards on the way, led us to Richmond. A gorgeous little village of old Tasmanian history. Quaint attractions, such as the convict built bridge and gaol, early settlement style houses and the "Old Hobart Town Model Village" all within easy walking distance bring memories of strolling through villages in England.... We loved the Richmond Maze growing up. I am not sure if it has got worse, or if my standards have changed, but our latest visit was a let down. It was littered with garbage, broken fence palings, graffiti and spiders webs. The centre of the mazes were the most phenomenal let down with ruined filthy "structure" in the middle... More

Visited with my husband and 3 children and my adult brother, the mazes were challenging enough without being too hard and the staff were lovely.

Had a great idea to have a Sunday wLk around Richmond and have lunch at a local tourist location. All organised and excited see what the owners have done, especially with the new tourist season coming up. It was closed, more other than the sign saying what they would like to do the location was tired and needed a good... More

I understand that there is some development underway on the new maze, but give some attention to your cafe. Had lunch there. I ordered bruschetta and was totally disappointed. It was two slices of white bread toasted, a small amount of diced tomato and I would guess a whole red onion! I scraped off at pile of onion onto the... More
