Fantastic. We visited due to excitement factor for 9yo son. We actually all really enjoyed it (44, 44, 19 & 9). Very informative, modern and the lady who was there was very informative and gave us some great tips and direction as we navigated displays!

Interesting experience in historic Richmond. This is an experience for the scientific minded and those with curiosity but it is mostly dependant on the operator sharing her knowledge which is extensive and also a large segment of watching curated YouTube videos. If you are not interested in watching the YouTube videos, then it would take about 20 minutes to go through. Based on that, I think it is overpriced.

Thank you for your review. Yes, it is for the scientific-minded and those with curiosity as it is a science museum, as mentioned on our website and Facebook page. Nearly all of the 40 videos at the Pooseum were purchased from either Shutterstock, Alamy or the ABC, so they are not YouTube videos. I recorded the narration for many of the videos myself. It is disappointing that you do not mention the approximately 12,000 words of written information on information panels, the various interactive displays you could have engaged with, or the artworks throughout the exhibition. You could have easily spent a couple of hours at the museum, so we do not think that the entry fees are unreasonable.

Pooseum: yes, a museum dedicated to the study of poo! It was absolutely fascinating. Did you know that birds wee and poo at the same time from the same orifice? Did you know that birds don't fart because they poo every fifteen minutes so gases don't build up. I could go on. Brilliant little place and the lady who runs it is so passionate and knowledgeable.

The Pooseum is a fabulous little museum that is created with love and passion by it’s owner named Karim. I picked up a flyer at Hobart airport and was immediately intrigued. It far surpassed the expectations of my husband and I. We learned a lot of interesting fun facts about poo that were delightfully shocking. The Amaze Richmond cafe across the street is excellent and we also recommend walking to the historic Richmond Bridge overlooking the picturesque Coal River to enjoy watching the frolicking ducks.

I was intrigued by the name and we had some time to kill. It's pretty small though, just one room. I was hoping for the price it would have a little more material but I guess there's only so much poo information one can take in at a time. We went through the whole thing in about an hour. The room gets loud when there's even a few kids in it, so that was also a driving factor in my enjoyment. It's good for all ages, with stuff geared toward kids and adults. Overall, I would say it's worth it if you have nothing to do, but don't change your plans to come here.

I have to be honest, we rocked up to this mostly because poo is funny and obviously it is. However this Pooseum is funny while also being informative, which I absolutely loved.
I learnt far more that I would ever expect while also having a good laugh. The woman running the exhibit is clearly very passionate about poo and knows her stuff.
More scientific than silly, but with a lighthearted tenderness that suited me to a tee.

many interactive elements suitable for all ages, expected 15min stayed over an hr. The owner was amazing and gave great insights to a topic we have never thought to know about.
I can recommend the short ‘poo tube’ videos about weird animal behaviours - I nearly went right past it.

It’s a very interesting place. As adults we went just as a lark - who could just walk past a poo museum lol. But for kids it would be a bit of fun to check out all the different types of poo - they even have a fart machine.
