Too expensive for a visit for poo related items.
Jul. 2021
I wanted to have a look at this as it seemed so quirky and fun.
I however didn't go in as I wasn't paying $16 per adult to look at poo related items. It was a small place and spending that money when you'd probably only stay for 10-15 minutes, I thought that was a bit too much.
Still, it has good reviews, go in and have a look if you want to.

I enjoy the experience

I went there today with 10 women not really sure what i would find, and it was great.
So many interesting displays and information about the animal world, I would say call in you might be surprised at what you find out.

Fascinating world of poo!
Dec. 2020 • Family
What a fascinating place. Such a different subject matter and an essential spot for little naturalists who are interested in poop 😃

Thank you so much for looking after us too when my son was feeling poorly. We will look forward to coming back when he’s feeling better and can have a good look

Fun and fact filled exhibition
Nov. 2020 • Family
This is a superb exhibition with fun interactive elements. You will find time flies by in an hour or so because it is so fascinating and well put together. The host herself is very knowledgable and passionate on the subject of poop as an environmental subject. Things to look at in all corners, nooks and crannies. The video wall is great - I now know how a bat poops - question answered. Fairly priced and a great visit for the family, not just for kids.

Overpriced.
Oct. 2020 • Family
My kids are obsessed with poo, so I thought that they would love it but they really didn't. It was probably very educational if you had time to read all the write ups. VERY over priced for what it is, it should be about $5 each for entry but was $52 for us and we was in there for maybe 15minutes. Something different, but over priced in my opinion.

Yes, it was very sad to see children at this age unwilling to read anything, watch anything, or engage in any educational activities. The only thing that caught their attention was a pooping keyring toy in the shop. Maybe not visit a science museum next time?

You just have to!

Typical of what is quirky in Tasmania this museum focusses on all aspects of poo. You learn about interesting facts. Some gross, some just fascinating. Great for kids and adult kids. Just as interesting is the controversy over the sculpture outside the entrance. Some local, up themself, authority thinks it gives the wrong image. Is it too modern? Too rectangular? Get over yourself mate! It's a piece of quirky Tasmania that needs celebrating. Loved the place.

Exceptional educational take on a rarely talked about topic.
Jul. 2019
Lovely museum that caught my eye with its unusual name.
Once inside there were plenty of educational interactive and visual displays which taught me a thing or two about ... poo.
There is also a cute little poo-themed shop as well.
Would recommend stopping by if you are travelling to/through Richmond.

An odd one to come across when visiting Richmond Tas. Spent about 30mins in here learning all about - Poo! Quite interesting facts and discoveries - probably wouldn't visit again though!
