Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked from the city to the park. During the walk you can get to know the flora and fauna of the area very well.

Went here as part of an organised tour, paid 40'000 for a full day trip. You walk for 10 minutes up a nice path, I seen a red squirrel and some birds. After the walk you reach a plain with the historical sites spread out, it takes about 30 minutes to walk around.
It's worth going on a day tour to visit these sites and the Estrecho del magdelena. Really enjoyed my stay in San Augustin, nice people, not so much of a tourist trap at the moment, well priced food and tours!

This is a very nice archeological site. It is a very large site with a lot of Colombian and pre-Colombian artifacts. Walking the quiet grounds is almost a spiritual experience. Bring an umbrella, it often rains in this region.

I visited this remote archaeological site as part of a horse back tour in the area of San Agustin. The ride to this site is spectacular in a rural setting surrounding with amazing vistas of the mountains. The uniqueness of this site is the fact that it has 2 large tomb protected by statues that maintained most of their original color. Definitely worth the visit.

In my opinion it has the most beautiful sculptures, to get to where they are it is mandatory to go by car with double traction, but it is worth it. Admission costs 10,000 COP pesos (July 2024), the person who charges is also a guide.
