We had been ambivalent about visiting this attraction, because it didn't sound all that interesting to see a museum about an early doctor in northern Newfoundland and Labrador. How wrong we were! Seeing the videos, the photos and the quotes from Dr. Grenfell himself really...More

The home built for the Grenfell's; but seldom used, was a trip through history to the large cottages in the Kawartha Lakes and other parts of Ontario during the 40's and 50's. The furnishings and memorabilia were familiar sights from a simpler by gone era....More

You start with an introductory film about Dr.Grenfell and then tour the exhibits, which are well-chosen and well-presented. The gift shop has excellent crafts. You can then walk (or drive) about 200 m to Dr.Grenfell's house and tour it. Also well done. The only blot...More

Our family really enjoyed the Grenfell properties. We weren't going to visit them as we thought we'd be bored but our tour package included vouchers so we went. Lovely, historic home of a very important man.

This place is worth a visit even though it needs some TLC to make it more attractive. The displayed furniture and artifacts are very interesting and gives one a feel for the people who lived here and their lifestyle.

As advertised in the Grenfell Historic Properties brochure, the tour includes all that is specified. The Legacy of Dr. Grenfell may not have been something of interest to you.

This was the Grenfell family home where you can see many artifacts from the doctor, his wife and children. It's a large Victorian with many rooms of memorabilia. I especially liked seeing the early medical instruments and the artwork. Be sure to visit.
