We spent a couple of hours walking around this beautiful village. It was during low season and a lot of places were closed down, so it was rather empty. However, this is one of the most beautiful little villages I have ever seen.
It is a lovely place. You can go thru the town in just a few hours. If you are there around sunset, stay and see it. It was just beautiful. Saborores restaurant was absolutely amazing. It's only open for limited times. Definitely worth a trip...More
We have stayed 4 nights at Monsaraz which is a wonderful and beautiful village. It is really genuine. From 11:00 am and 6:00 pm cars are forbidden within the walls which even better. One drawback : insufficient level of the restaurants at Monsaraz.

There are a few shops, a few restaurants and more inns than I expected. The views...More

First, the drive up to village is stunning....More
