Lived in the ozarks all my life and been visiting forever and although it has gotten busier (especially in the summer months) it’s gorgeous as ever. Used to take the horses trail riding here all the time and recently took my dog who loved the...More

We spent the day hiking here, and really enjoyed it. We took our time and mostly followed the yellow trail. It was marked so well that we never needed a map or compass. Didn't see any wildlife which was a bummer, but even with insect...More

I've gone here several times, taking my dog for hikes. There are various trails with varying degrees of difficulty. None are extreme, but some certainly require some athletic ability. There is a river where people can swim or cross the trails. Although the trails are...More

This was a great place. If the water is not too high you can cross the creek. There are 3 trails to hike. Plenty of parking. There is a shooting range and camping available. Lots of shaded areas. Right off hwy 65

We hiked a little. Went to the shooting range to site in a couple handguns. Also shot the 130. We got there early about 7:30am before anyone was there. By 8:30 it was full. Very pretty area.

Excellent area for the nature lover. Primitive camping and hiking in the great outdoors. Also many do trail rides in the park.

We were tired of the Branson scene on our family vacation and wanted to be outside and not spend money for a day. This place was perfect! Located right off the highway between Branson and Springfield, it's easy to find. Go left when the road...More

Lovely trails and scenery here. Not too crowded. Interesting quarry rock area. Nice place to just get away and out in nature

This area is really natural. Walk right in the river. Enjoy the trees, water, fresh air, and roam to your heart's content. Free ,no permit needed.

We hiked several trails on the east side of 65. You may wish to take water shoes with to cross the creek/stream. I plan to try trails on the west side of 65 next time.
