This museum is filled with special finds from around the U.S. and has a highly educated staff to help you understand every little piece! Bring a notebook and a very good question: it helps to understand and appreciate the breadth of the gatherings. Kids love it!

Spent an hr or so here. There are some interesting exhibits and some art displays as well. Interesting but not sure it would be worth a trip to Columbia by itself.

The museum isn't large, but it's got a surprisingly diverse array of art. Cool medieval/renaissance art, and a lot of artifacts and sculptures from different eras on the archaeology end (check out the mummy shroud). It's located off the main campus, but it's a good way to kill a few hours, and it looks like they will be adding an... More

First of all, the museum is no longer at the address listed. It has been moved to the Mizzou North building on the I70 Business loop. It is free which was nice. Atmosphere was pleasent. We had it pretty much to ourselves too.

Although the museum itself is not large, the variety of works is interesting from early local art to classical art. Definitely worth a visit.

The museum is now open at its new location 115 Mizzou North just off 70 Business loop. great museum for all though caters to more the archaeology than art lovers. Don't miss the greek cast collection on the first floor and soon more exhibits will be opened

Check their website for correct address and hours as it is in a former hospital, not in Pickard Hall. A little gem of a museum tucked away in a building you would not expect to find such great treasures. Nice staff. Great place to take the kids too as it's not so huge you can both enjoy a little culture... More

Moved to Mizzou North, on Business Loop 70, you can see te building to the south from I-70 between West Blvd and Providence exits. The Cast Gallery is open now and a good balance of the 15,000 piece exhibits open Spring of 2015. There is a great restaurant on the ground (basement) floor catered by The University Club. It will... This is where I went to school, taught art classes, bought really neat jewelry and go to see new art shows. There are Docents that know what they are talking about. It is right on the MU campus.
