This is a 21-acre city park on the north side of Cape Girardeau offering great overlooks of the Mississippi River. It has no website of its own, but can be found mentioned in the city's website that I listed.

You must drive higher and higher to get to the top of this overlook, but it is well worth the views of the mighty Mississippi. It's high on a bluff where you can see for many miles. It's a small park, but pretty cool!

Not much here except a great overlook upon the Mississippi River just north of downtown Cape. From here you will look east across river into the flood plain of southern Illinois and the Shawnee forest. Nice quick spot to stop for photos.

While not as prominent as in decades past when much of the stone was removed to allow the railroad, Cape Rock Park is still the only place to understand why Cape Girardeau is the only inland named "cape" in the country. It offers excellent views...More

Great overlook of the river. Not much here. But work a quick stop. Not a lot of parking. Don't bring an RV. Not enough room.
