This was a little disappointing. We were hoping to actually go inside the fort and see the rooms inside, but everything was locked. We were only able to look at the outside, and through the windows. The park was extremely clean and well kept. It...More

There is broken glass and trash everywhere. Unfortunately the signs were barely readable due to graffiti. Such a historic place with so much potential.

I have been to many forts and this one is very well presented. They had lots of interesting facts you can read while roaming around.

Very nice little spot overlooking the bridge. I can see why it was selected to be a fort. Not much original left but there is a reconstructed powder house to look at. Lots of interpretive panels to read. I learned something else about John Wesley...More

Great to visit a little piece of local Civil War history! The markers provide a lot of information. While the surrounding neighborhood is a little shabby, it's not a drawback to a visit. Park in the lot of an old school across the street and...More

Fort D in Cape is close to the Mississippi River and SEMO River Campus. They have reenactments and activities at the fort. You have to view the schedule for events. It is close to the Red House and other River Front activities.
