My girlfriend and I have camped at Wallace twice now and personally it's my favorite of the state parks to camp near the KC area. Plenty of trails, not too busy, and staff are friendly.

I agree with John. That said, I feel that Wallace is a better camping experience over all. Watkins has a beautiful history, but the campsites at Wallace are for the most part, more private and a better environment.
