This is a great experience! I learned many things regarding WWII and Vietnam during our visit! This is a self-paced walk-through exhibit. The photos and exhibits are amazing. Who knew there were "gas masks" for babies? Fold out preacher's pulpit and organ are on display. There is one room completely covered in pennies in remembrance for each military member to perish in WWII. There are unique items you may not expect. Soda/pop cans from Desert Shield/Desert Storm brought back memories for me as I drank from such cans while in Saudi Arabia during that time. We really enjoyed the thoughtful and reverent manner these items are displayed. There is the USAF uniform from Boxcar Willie's days in the Air Force. Did you know he owned a theatre in Branson?

As a lover of history, the Veterans Memorial Museum is by far one of the greatest places to visit if you ever wish to learn about past conflicts. When I visited, every exhibit I saw made me extremely excited, especially the WWI exhibit as I've started getting an interest in the War they say would end all wars. When I have more time, I will definitely be visiting again.

It was a promo free ticket so we went and really enjoyed it. It was impressive. Nice displays. A nod to local hero’s and the women of service too. If you enjoy the privileges of being a citizen of the USA, then you should visit this museum.

As an USAF veteran, I enjoy visiting all types of War Memorial Museums. It is part of our past and we should never our past and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The Veterans Memorial Museum does not dissapoint. There are exhibits from WWI through the Gulf War. I truly enjoyed the memorial wall highlighting the names of all who have died during the individual wars.

I was so happy and proud that the veterans are treated so respectfully and honored wherever we went in Branson. This memorial is just one of the many tributes to them. Very nicely sculpted and there is a short history of the sculpture with it.

Takes one through a period back in time that for me had me in tears and my heart full of gratitude and pride. Words cannot capture what must be seen in person. Don't pass this amazing museum up, pull in and take your time studying and reading. And as you leave, you will take with you an appreciation and thankfulness for those who put it all on the line for our freedom! Amen!

We have always visited war museums and this one had a lot of stuff. War is hard and to look back on some of this stuff just stops you in your tracks. The walls sure made you stop and realize how many people have died defending our great country.

I felt this museum tug at my heartstrings. I love my country and I'm so sad to see the direction it is currently taking. I'm so grateful for the men who fought for our freedoms and what an honor with museum was to visit.

Being military retirees, my wife and I found this museum educational and humbling. This is a great exhibit! I thought I was the only person who brought back soft drink cans from Saudi Arabia I purchased during Desert Shied'Storm. They have some on display!

This place is by no means much of a "museum". They had ALOT of military uniforms in there that spanned the different wars but nothing spectacular. They also had some historical guns/bombs etc. It's what I would consider a small town museum.

we are coming to branson end of July with our. 3 and 12 year old then. will be back for our anniversary in September. would. the kids be interested or think it is more adult geared?

While the exhibits are very interesting for a 12 year old and quite educational; they probably wouldn't hold the attention of a 3 year old. We look forward to you visiting soon!

Approximately how much time should we expect to spend at the museum?
Written 30 June 2017
Thanks to those who have already responded - their answers are quite accurate. We recommend setting aside at least an hour and a half. Some folks do spend more time when examining and reading the exhibits. We look forward to seeing you at the Museum.

There are many hotels within a mile or two of the museum. From the Ramada to the Towers to Honeysuckle to the Hilton to the Chateau to Angel's Inn to Branson's Best and on and on there are a wide variety of accommodations to fit every choice. You can find lodging information on line at

What is the parking like? I am bringing my boyfriend here in February for his birthday, he was military so he loves these kind of these and I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row before we go lol. Thank you!

Do the rooms come equipped with hair dryers?

Dear Stevef626, We appreciate your question. The Veterans Memorial Museum is not a hotel. We are a museum with 10 beautiful halls for you to go through at your leisure. There are many hotels/motels in Branson in different price ranges. Unfortunately, rules on Trip Advisor make it impossible for me to send you to our chamber website.
