The blue trail is the most challenging with the stone stairs. This is a must if you are wanting to connect with nature, the views are amazing. Pack a lunch to eat once at the top!

Spent a few hours hiking around to the falls and the cave. Decided to return a different way. Great hiking with a bit of strenuous exertion added with a 300+ set of stiairs leading up to the old homestead. The house is gone, but the...More

We were looking for a park to have a picnic lunch. The first park we found was closed due to flooding, so Google Maps directed us here. I'm so glad it did! Right in the center of town, but it didn't seem like it. We...More

With all the hype in local news about the improvements to this area, I thought I'd check it out. There are no paved trails, so if you need to use a stroller you're out of luck. Even the path around the play area is cobblestone...More

Interesting hike to an old homestead and former garden. Can also access nice hike down 300 plus handmade steps if able bodied. This is a nice hike along Taneycomo including a grotto, waterfall and a small cave. This is steep so don't attempt if not...More

The property includes the Lyle Owen homestead, originally built in 1911, as well as a barn and almost 2,000 feet of hand-built stone walls. There are picnic tables and porch swings at the trail head near the old Owen Homestead. The trails take you along...More

My review for runners and trail runners. For those who like combination of hiking and slow running this would be nice. Technical, well marked, difficulty rating on map i accurate. The blue trail down to river is very, very steep with series of winding steps...More

The trail down to the grotto does not loop. The map at the trail head is deceptive. It goes to the top of the grotto. Beautiful hike. Great adventure. Hold hands of little ones closely. (Our youngest is 7).

We hiked the trails on a 45 degree day but warmed up once we kept hiking to find the caves. It was well worth the adventure to hike along the Lake and find the hidden caves and waterfall area (which was dry when we were...More

Is there a "nature themed" playground here? I thought I saw a picture of some tree stumps and a crawl through log on the playground?

Yes, but it's tiny. A climbing rock, some fake tree stumps and crawl-through tunnel. No swings or slides.
