- Jan SCheyenne, Wyoming23 contributionsBest Dhow in a random! We loved the Petersens. The music was great and they all seemed to enjoy making music together. Of all the shows we attended, this was our favorite. The original songs written by the members of the group were awesome. I hope they keep making beautiful music together.Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! - Seaside392617627741 contributionIncredible Talent - Money Well SpentI "discovered" The Petersens by recommendation of YouTube and soon found myself looking forward to their videos. When the opportunity to visit Branson and see them in person presented itself it was the first ticket I bought. To say it was money well spent is an understatement. The venue is intimate, the family interacts with the audience and the talent is even better in person. You could feel that this family truly enjoyed preforming and gave glory to God who gave them the talent. If you have the chance to see them in person do so!Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! Very talented family, plus Emmett Franz... the quiet type, but gets mean with his strings when it's his turn to take the lead. OMG, it was their best show (so far for us)! Obviously, we also loved the other shows we've seen. They performed EVERY song I wanted to badly to hear live. Thanks for doing "Santa Train". The Petersens were absolutely one of the best! Unbelievable vocals and instrumentals. Would highly recommend. We loved the intimacy of the IMAX theater. If you are only going to see one show in Branson, see the Petersens. They will not disappoint. In addition to being extremely talented, you can tell they have high values. Can’t wait to see them again. Thank you Petersens for sharing your talents and for your example!Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! Last year for our 28th anniversary my wife and I were supposed to go on a cruise, but then Covid. We postponed the cruise until this April and our 29th anniversary but, again, the cruise was canceled. Could anything good come from Covid? As it happens and most unexpectedly, the answer is a resounding YES; The Petersen's began posting their music on Youtube. I discovered them last April when they posted their first-ever Youtube concert. My wife and I were instant fans. When our cruise canceled again we decided to celebrate our 29th anniversary with an 8-hour drive from our home to Branson Mo to enjoy, live, the music, and the family that had so impressed us. Wow! We attended both the bluegrass and the gospel shows. The family, and Emmet on dobro, are so gifted and the music is so...genuine. Each voice is beautiful, each instrument skillfully played. Whether it is bluegrass or gospel, The Petersen's give the songs a unique touch. This is music, joyful and melodic. It is fun, moving, and inspiring, and then all of it all at once! Personal favorites for me are "Beulah Land", "I Am The Man", "Swallow Tail Jig", "All My Tears", "Country Roads", and the hauntingly beautiful original by oldest sibling Katie titled "California". During our visit, we had the opportunity to speak briefly with Katie and Matt, and mother Karen. The humorous and kind people they are on Youtube and onstage are the same kind people met in person. The Lord has blessed this wonderful group. If you are planning a trip to Branson I could not more strongly recommend enjoying an afternoon of music with the Petersen's. Should the Petersen's play near you then it should be counted as a loss to not hear them live. Whatever opportunity you might have to hear this wonderful group then take advantage of it. You'll be glad you did!

We live in Las Vegas and can't figure out why The Petersens aren't performing here. But since they aren't, we will travel to Branson again this year to see a couple of their shows. I definitely recommend that you see them no matter what you think your taste is in music. If you like bluegrass music, you are going to love The Petersens. If you don't think you like bluegrass music, you will find out that you do after you see this talented family perform.

We traveled from NC, a 17 hour drive to Branson. Of course this area is well known for it’s many different shows. We have followed this family for as long as they have been making music, so our choice of the one show we would attend was made before we arrived. They have live performances in the Little Opry Theater. There are no fireworks, smoke and mirrors, or fancy light displays, just down to earth music, which comes from the heart and at a grassroots level of what this country is all about! Their musical talents while playing Fiddle, Bass, guitar, banjo, and dobro(Emmett) was superb. Their youngest sister, Julianne, mandolin, was not able to perform today) but the harmonies of their group, entertained us with an almost surreal experience. At the conclusion they asked the audience if there were any questions and there were several, some pertaining to their personal lives, and they answered all with grace and poise. Ellen and Katie's voices blended with Matt, their brother as only family voices can blend. Mama Karen played the Bass fiddle, and a trumpet! Ellen is the only married sister (She married Michael of the Haygoods, billed as the #1 show in Branson), Katie, for reasons that defy logic remains not married(her choice no doubt). She is a real prize for the right man! At the conclusion of the show, I didn't have a ?, but made a statement. I wished Ellen a happy year and one half anniversary (she married Michael in January 2019) and then said If Michael(I'm sure he is a prize for her) ever got out of line to remind him that the audience today had a choice of attending the Haygoods show or this show, and we chose the Petersen's show. Now we know the Haygoods have earned their rating as the #1 show Branson. Having said that, we would still choose and recommend this lovely family, who enjoy making music, and simply sing their hearts out!

When we went to another attraction we had the opportunity to buy some discounted tickets and picked this show. It was Easter weekend so we were looking for something special to do on Easter Sunday and chose the gospel show. So glad we did! It was such a treat to spend time with their family in such an intimate space. They were all lovely, talented and gracious with their time and talent. Would definitely go again.

I've been involved in media for over 35 years, so I've seen tens of thousands of shows, and I'll admit I get a little jaded sometimes. When I get a show or performer that is hyped to me a lot before I see them, I set a high bar, and it's rarely reached. The Petersens were seriously hyped before I saw the show, from my friends who saw the show to people who had worked with them in the past.
I saw the show today, and not only did they meet the high bar I had set, they far exceeded it. The vocal harmonies were pitch perfect throughout the entire show (save Matt's voice cracking once during the encore.) Katie's song about not having a ring is a great example of simplicity in structure creating brilliant art.
I don't recommend many shows as being worth the money...I can think of maybe five in Branson all told I'd tell you pay full price to see...and I have to add the Petersens to that list. I will be back to see them again.

If you haven't seen the Petersens' show, you've missed a HUGE piece of what Branson is all about. Honoring God and country, their mix of bluegrass, gospel, and clean humor has proven to be a show to thrill all ages. As a performer with over 40 years of experience myself, I can confidently say that you'll not find this level of talent on any other stage in Branson. While the vast majority of Branson shows are now prerecorded and rely on visual effects to distract and convince you otherwise, the Petersens are the real deal.

If you are looking for uplifting music, this is the show for you. Truly, this show is a must see while in Branson, even if blue grass is not your first love. This band is a very talented musical group, composed mostly of one family. They have a wholesomeness that is both refreshing and fun loving. The band connects with the audience, and several in the audience commented how their music has encouraged them during this time. You will not be disappointed. In addition to the excellent skills of the musicians, there is a mix of humor and good-natured kidding. They write, play, and sing their own songs. Thank you all for a wonderful show.

We visited Branson for the first time and specifically made a point to see the Peterson’s. The live show did not disappoint. All of the members have an amazing and unique gift/talent. I would recommend the show for all families and for any one visiting Branson must put the Peterson’s on their list of things to do. After the show, the whole band stayed around to sign autographs and talk with the audience; which really was special. Thank you to the Peterson’s for making the whole event memorable

Saw the Petersen's in Wilson last week and greatly enjoyed seeing their show. The audience was packed and they put on a 2 hour show covering most of their own music and much of their famous covers. They even took requests from the audience. No masks were required and that made it even better. What a terrific family band. Emmit's dad was running the sound board and the Petersen's dad even did a number on the piano. It was fun and enjoyable family entertainment. All the people around us loved the show. We hope to see them again in Michigan late in the summer since they don't get close to Ohio this year. I highly recommend their show, their family comedy was fun and enjoyable and the people in Wilson were very nice to us treating us like family. Go see them and their American Roots show since they are so much better than what is out their touring.
