The trail is well maintained from Clinton to St. Charles for its considerable length. There is some road riding with rollers and several low-grade inclines on the trail between Clinton and Sedalia. Information online brings attention to the lack of water for 25 miles between...More

The Katy Trail is great. Very scenic ride long the Missouri and probably the best limestone trail surface we have ridden on.

Easy trail to ride on a fully loaded tandem with trailer (self-supported camping). Good community support at most trailheads with bar/grill and campsite options. Katy Trail website offers the best planning and current conditions information.

Boonville, Missouri two places to stay right on the trail. One is Isle of Capri, the casino. The other is Hotel Fredrick, which has a place to park your bike, it has a bike repair shop, and a place to eat.
