Greta place to visit in any time of the year, although make sure you are warmly dressed in the winter, the castle is not heated. Quite nicely guided.

We took city bus from Vienna Central Station to this southern castle. Easy trip with wi-fi across nice countryside, it's a real outing. The castle is small and serious! It is a War Castle, not a palace or even nice lodge for the royalty. Castle...More

I honestly recommend the castle visit. Large history of the Esterhazy family, family treasures and historical weapons from the 17-19th century in a very nice, well preserved castle. Do not miss the panorama terrace, from where you have the best view to the region!

One of must-see "burg" when you are in Burgenland. Impressive castle visible from afar, good accessibility by car, great history inside, dominant medieval tower and very nice view from castle.

Treasure chamber, armory, walls and view of the landscape - these are the main reasons for visiting the castle. Recommended warmer clothes and shoes, the castle walls are really thick (-: Guided tours in German or Hungarian, free movement of the area.
