I expected much more for the Gateway to the blues visitor Museum. In fact I must have completely overlooked the museum portion for I saw nothing but cheap tourist trinkets normally available in every store on Beale Street. I expected to have at the very...More

The exhibits are really neat at this museum we just happened upon. Play the diddley bow, it was really cool to do! We did think it was a bit pricey to get in for the size of the museum, though.

Gateway to the Blues is an unexpected surprise. It is old and shabby on the outside but filled with Blues information on the inside. There is a museum and interactive activities. There is also a small gift shop. It should not be missed.

Nice museum, lots of interactive stuff to see and do, lots of artifacts left there by musicians and even the option to record your own blues song. Good place for blues lovers and also a good place to learn a lot more about it.

There are many blues museums in Mississippi but this is one of the better ones. It's a convenient pit stop when you drive from Memphis south to Clarksdale and although I am a repeat visitor, I find it reinvigorates my interest in the region and...More

Small building. Few pamphlets you can get free. Museum cost $10 so we didn’t go in. Friendly staff. Only takes a few minutes out of your time to stop.
