    A bit dull and boring
Was ok, we paid extra for the illuminate exhibition and was definitely not worth it, felt it should of been inclusive in entry fee. Son had a good time but parents definitely disappointed. So many other things to do in Melbourne wouldn't recommend this one

    A busy day out
Busy day with quite a few school groups in and it was difficult for kids not in schools to get a turn at activities with little teacher involvement and s hool kids pushing in. There were a number of things closed also. There were also some parts of displays not working. We purchased lunch from the Cafe and the wait was very long, even longer if you wanted hot food or coffee. We had over priced sandwiches which were ok. We caught the train and walked the distance from the station about 10mins, with signs pointing the way if needed.

    Great interactive museum
Great interactive museum for everyone. History and explanations on science. Good fun games to play too. Did the planetarium too which was excellent, getting a lecture on the basics of the universe. Easy 3hrs

    Beat Cathy Freeman!
Very good fun for the kids. So many engaging exhibits, many that can be operated. Very popular were the sporting options - e..g. beat Cathy Freeman, defending the soccer goal. We also went to the Planetarium which is great fun and very interesting watching all this orchestrated activity in the sky with a great guide.

    Worth a visit
Quite a few fun things for the kids to do and it was great that kids were free. We paid extra for a show at the planetarium which was worth the cost. Free parking can be found nearby, or alternatively paid ticket parking is at the venue.

My wife went there today with a group of 14 year-old students. It was terrible. Totally out-dated and most of the people working there couldn't deal with kids. 'Boring as,' they said.

'Do better!' the kids said. Those running the 'Science Gallery' at Melb. Uni. can give them some advice.

exhibits are completely outdated, half if not more dont work or difficult to operate. There is a play area for under 5's, which is ok but certainly not worth the entrance fee. Generally dont go in with high expectations, kids under 5 will be very bored very quickly. A lot of exhibits also have way too much information. Cafe is a complete ripoff, icypoles $5 each. The only thing which was fun was the air palooza show, the girl who ran it was fun and happy and saved this review from being a terrible experience.

Visited Scienceworks for the first time and were shocked at how expensive it was. We paid extra for the play room and the planetarium (which weren’t all that) and the tickets alone were $90 for a family of 4 (one being an infant)
We had a small, very basic lunch in the cafe and that was another $80.
Had fun but sadly not worth $170.

Too many exhibits ‘out of order’
Had to have a supervising adult accompany the children into ‘AirPlay exhibit’ and that adult had to pay! We grandparents missed out on seeing our visiting grandchildren having fun! 😔
Went for a coffee at 2:50 while the kiddies went to the AirPlay to be told they stopped serve coffees!
Won’t be doing Scienceworks again.

We loved science works, our 8yr old son had a blast! The planetarium is a must see for any astronomy fan! And of course the gift shop has souvenirs of all ranges.
