We have two kids at 4 and 5 and there was very little to engage them. There is an eighties style set of exhibits which are broadly interactive but overall it seemed tired noisy and twenty years out of date. It was a little sad to see the kids trying to interact with the play equipment that didn't do anything.... More

We decided we would take our 4 year old grandson to Scienceworks in November it was a huge success. As seniors with a young child we got in for free. We did however pay to see a lightening demonstration which was incredibly good and very educational..The man doing it was very good with the children and made it interesting plus... More

I took my 11 year old son for 2 consecutive days in the school holidays, we were there from open to close both days, attending workshops and shows in the lightning room and planetarium and could have still gone back the next day. Best value for the whole family

My husband and I took 3 grandkids to Scienceworks last week. The kids are 9, 12 and 15yo. And ALL of us had a great time as there's something for everyone. Despite the school holidays, we all managed to take part in our chosen activities with little waiting time. We spent 3 1/2 hours there and didn't make it upstairs.... More

On this visit to Scienceworks I was accompanied by my two grand-nieces ages 13 and 9. They were both interested in a lot of the activities, particularly the ones in the Sport section. We were glad we had booked in advance for the Lightning Room and the Planetarium. The Lightning Room was very informative and a little bit scary, with... More

We really enjoyed Scienceworks, however wish we had known to pre-book the shows (lightning etc) as all were fully booked. It was suggested to us to book in advance online if we were to come back.

Great day for the family, lots to see and do. Plenty of interactive games for the kids to play. The Lightning show it was very interesting, they include the audience in the show which was great.

We went here hoping for a fun outing and not sure what to expect. The place is mainy aimed at children with plenty of hands on activities to do. Not so much for the adults but the old steam engines and pumping station outside was interesting. Food was very expensive so try and eat first. Took about 2 hours to... More

We had visited scienceworks before but never been to the planetarium or lighting show. The lighting show was pretty cool, even for adults. Well worth going to and will be going back to see a few more planetarium shows.
