Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The whole experience was amazing ,my wife and i visited about 12noon yesterday , from the moment we entered the booking area and cafe , staff were very welcoming and friendly , we asked if there was a chance of a "Waco" bi-plane being available for a joy flight , as the weather was perfect , luckily there was , in about 90mins we were told , so we booked in , then ordered a nice light lunch and coffee , amazing watching various planes coming and going , then it was our turn , Karl our Pilot introduced himself , great guy , we discussed a route we would like to see , after a briefing we were soon up in the air , wow sensational !! we even did a "dive" and a "wingover" , after Karl asked if we would like to , the plane is so smooth in the air , we highly recommend the experience , chris and john c

Always good for a visit. We live bringing friends for a coffee and some great views of small planes in action. Great vibe. Little kids are free to wonder and watch, so a nice atmosphere for a family. Toasties and cakes if you are hungry

Had such a relaxing time having a coffee while watching some planes. Who would have thought a cafe attached to a tiny airport would be so charming! Simply awesome!
The little coffee shop attached to the aerodrome is amazing and so relaxing. It’s airplane themed and has a lovely spot outside amongst the flowers to watch biplanes go by.

What a great place! As an aviation enthusiast, it was fantastic to sit at the cafe and watch the various aeroplanes take off and land. The staff there were all very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home!

We booked our teenage sons in for a half hour scenic flight while on holiday in Aldinga. They absolutely loved it, and it is a o hard to find things that our teenagers will be enthusiastic about. The flight exceeded their expectations. The terminal is worth a visit even if you are not taking a flight. It has a small cafe with interesting flying paraphernalia and it is tastefully fitted out. Easy to spend an hour there watching the planes land and take off. Highly recommended.

What a hidden gem. Booked the Boeing Stearman as a Christmas present for my father. From the moment we arrived we had the most wonderful experience. Great cafe, exceptional service (really made to feel welcome), excellent views and my father had a fantastic flight. Cannot recommend Adelaide Biplanes enough.

My sons and I popped in for a visit to Aldinga airfield and despite there being hundreds there (Santa was flying in!), staff were amazing. They were smiling and wonderful the whole time.
Many planes took off and flew in as part of Xmas celebrations and my sons and I were even taken to a plane to have a look. Staff went above and beyond and made it such a great outing for us.
Customer service makes such a difference and Adelaide Biplanes excelled in this area. I would rate them 10 stars if I could.

On our way back from our getaway at Aldinga Beach we drove past the Adelaide Biplanes and decided to stop for a drink and watch the planes go by. Unfortunately it was late in the afternoon so the cafe was closed and there were no planes flying. However we got to walk around and look at the planes which our son loved. We look forward to going back to sit in the cafe and watch the planes take off and land, hopefully build up some courage to go on a plane tour!

How much does a joy ride cost
AdelaideBiplanes
Aldinga Beach, Australia
Good morning Karen,
I have just been directed to your query.
We have many options from an open cockpit biplane for 2 people to an aerobatic flight in an open cockpit biplane for one adrenalin seeker, to a more standard flight for up to 3 passengers in a Cessna 172., even Trial Instructional Flights as we teach as well. There are even those that only want to come and watch us work, sitting on our covered decking, whiling away the hours enjoying coffee, the best bacon sandwiches, homemade cakes, a great view in a stunning wine region ....
The big Waco biplane, the Queen of our fleet, carries 2 passengers, hip to hip in the front open cockpit, 200 kgs max combined weight, and $350 for the half hour flight
Any questions ring 08 8556 5404 and we are happy to help you, or visit our website for ideas and pricing
Best regards
Gaylene
