Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This has become our favourite cinema on the Northern Beaches. They have a good selection of movies, you can park right outside the building and the prices (for seniors) are very reasonable. We find the place wonderfully eccentric. Contrary to a couple of other reviews, we find the staff very helpful. It's well air-conned. It has clean bathrooms. There is a kiosk and bar (and a huge games room downstairs). And almost best of all there's a chance you may see the owner, with a fabulous Elvis bouffant, or you may even hear him sing. Bravo.

We saw “Wish” yesterday, “Migration” today & planning to see “Anyone But You” tomorrow. The counter staff were lovely, chatting about the movies & our experience, helping a friend to join their Movie Club rewards programme and noting that my loyalty points entitled me to a free movie. I feel very welcome there.
The foyer is dramatic with carpeted floors and a starry ceiling just like a glittering Hollywood premiere.
Each time I’ve visited, there’s been a video message of welcome from the owner before the main film starts.
There’s a lift from the undercover parking to the foyer, or you can walk the carpeted ramp circling around the impressive artistic displays of the upcoming & currently screening movies. If we arrive early, I like to relax with a refreshing coffee while chatting in the seating area and taking advantage of the cool air con on hot days. I always treat myself to one of three flavours of a delicious choc top ice cream to savour once I’m seated inside the cinema. Each cinema is cosy with comfy seats so you don’t feel lost in a big room. The sessions are staggered throughout the day so you can go to more than one movie if you choose - and have the time. The location is easy to find at the end of a cul-de-sac and it’s near a local shopping centre, on a major bus route, if you want to continue with a meal while you chat about the movie you’ve just seen. I keep returning because I enjoy my experiences there so much.

It's so great to have 3 local cinemas to choose from with United!!. It's still a fun night out with friends or family! We have enjoyed movies at these cinemas for many years. Warriewood is particularly convenient to meet with friends for coffee or food downstairs, a play area for children and easy parking.

My husband and I visited Warriewood cinema to watch James Bond Time to Die. Tickets were very easy to book online. We were pleased to see the refurbishment in the Cinema with a glossy new bar and all new reclining chairs in the Grand Cinema, Very comfortable and easy to use.
Enjoyed the cameo video of the owner Roy Mustaca singing God Kill the Corona Virus, it was wonderful!

I went along today, to secure a half-dozen serts for loved ones When this fabulous spot re-opens on the 11th of October. I was shocked & excited to see the new, custom-built leather chairs and recliners in the GRAND theatre! Plus... red leather, all the plug-in creature comforts from Row One to the upper balcony! Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall in Manhattan can hold a candle to these seats! I'm moving In! The 'cut above' difference in this venue, is that it is owned, and so-much-loved by a local couple who care for cinema as a way of life. They breathe popcorn and candy daily. The community is honoured to have them here...SEE You at The Movies! IF you've never been here... GO! & Look Up when you're there...The cieling is a fabulous skyline!

For over 24 years we have usually waited for movies to get to the Collaroy / Warriewood / Avalon cinemas - keep business local. HOWEVER: we recently approached Warriewood staff (14:00 on Friday, 9/04/2021) to discuss three expired vouchers (late 2019-late 2020). We were advised that although a number of individuals had inquired about extensions (due to lock downs and reduced screenings much of last year). Management refuses to discuss the matter or make any form of compromise. Screenings are not fully attended, yet the supervisor insists: too bad - expiry is expiry. Well, every one of our NSW government entertainment vouchers (2 per person) will be spent on movie tickets and treats (with other friends and family members) at Cremone or Macquarie Mall, NOT on the peninsula. Loss of hundreds of dollars - displaying an amazing lack of business sense - sigh ....

This venue has become my home away from home. Writing at my desk for hours on end, I've come to look forward to stepping-out and decompressing... doing a walk while it's still daylight, then watching a film in this venue is fabulous! I don't play favorites, sometimes I choose this 'brand's other venue in Avalon... I'mdead-centre between the two in Newport Beach.... either way, the folks who own and operate both venues, clearluy love what they do. The gusto gets passed along to the rest of the team. Hemmingway only asked for .."A clean, well-lighted place..." to do his best work... these United venues are all of that...and then some....

We are residents of the peninsula and it’s great to have a cinema in the village of Avalon however when you are paying top of the range ticket prices you expect some comfort. The air con was not working in cinema 2 yesterday and it was stifling!
Some people left during the movie and when we came out others asked if it was ok without it. We said no!
There also seemed to be rats in the roof, scrambling around as rats do- not nice.
It’s time for the owners to do some much needed renovation!

No problems with the on-site parking or queuing for tickets when attending the theater mid-week.

However, can be busy at peak times so need to get there at least 15 mins before session time. Although I haven't eaten there it has a restaurant as well as a kids' game centre on the premises.
