We recently visited Vaucluse House for the kids' holiday program. The kids made damper, butter and lemonade. The staff were wonderful and the program was so well run, we all had a great time. We then toured the house afterwards and had a lovely time....More

Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and well informed of the house's rich history. The experience was surreal - it was easy to imagine life back in the early 19th century. Well worth the visit and we will be back.

I went on the free guided tour. Leila gave a very informative tour and plenty of insight into the way of life of the Wentworth family. Thoroughly enjoyable. Grounds, gardens are gorgeous.

We stopped by this house and did a quick tour of the grounds and gardens. There are also pretty waterfalls on the property. If you are into gardens, you will enjoy this place!

It is well worth doing a tour here as the (volunteer) tour guides are so knowledgeable (and it is free). We had missed the first few minutes and our guide took the time after she had finished the tour to ‘catch us up’ on what...More

History, charm and lovely gardens combine in one of Sydney's swankiest suburbs to make a visit to Vaucluse House a great way to spend a couple of hours. Take the tour, the audio guide or just the printed material and enjoy at your own pace....More

Best to catch bus number 325 from the city. The nearest ferry stop is Watsons Bay, but that is a 30 minute walk away.

Hi Margaret, the tours are run by volunteers so unsure of the time. Best to go to their website and contact them directly. You have to pay an entry fee.
