Located in a 1915 schoolhouse, under the large live oaks, just blocks from the beach in Gulfport, MS, Lynn Meadows Discovery Center is a special place for children and their grown-ups. Inside, 15,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits encourage fun, learning and creativity. Discover different cultures at Celebrate the World We Share, board the train at Dolan Avenue Depot, and create a mini masterpiece at our art studio, Art Knows Anything Goes. Outside, oak-covered acres provide more space to let the imagination run wild. Play house in the trees, tap a tune in the outdoor musical garden, and explore the tiny town of Kids Street. Lynn Meadows Discovery Center is honored to be a recipient of the National Medal for Museum and Library Services, which recognizes exceptional contributions to the community.

What a great place and a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to go back. Our 2 year old granddaughter loved it, and I cannot wait to see her enjoy it in the years to come. It is perfect for so many ages. What a gem...More

The stuff they have is nice, well kept and clean. I felt the price was high for how small it is, compared to over children’s museums I’ve been to. I would suggest this for elementary age children and younger, the older kids got bored.

We really enjoyed the visit here. Especially the treehouses and the mini town. My boys are aging out of the children’s museums demographic but they really enjoyed their visit here. I am happy to recommend this place.

My title says it all nothing else is required to describe the experience. If you don’t have a kid borrow one and you will both be better off!

We've been visiting Gulfport with our son since he was born eleven years ago. Every year he wants to go to Lynn Meadows. It may be that this last March will be our last visit, but he still really enjoyed it. The acoustic park is...More

This place was great. Lots of fun things to do inside and the giant tree houses and tiny cabin by the stream were all so well maintained. Beautiful property and nice staff. Will visit again when in town.

We recently went on another trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and wanted to find something different to do with our kids other than going to the pool. We kept passing by the sign and I was like let's go and see what this place...More

Our three and five year old have enjoyed the Discovery Center on both visits. The indoor exhibits are excellent. The outdoor area is big and spacious, but lacks the activities that comparable centers have.
