Paid extra to have large chips. The tray came out half empty so don't know why they charged us extra 5 dollars. There would have been 30 chips in that half full tray. This cost us 36 dollars I really think gold class really need to look into their prices. In future I will be bringing in my own food from now on. Other people in our theatre did this so I will be doing that as well. If they don't changed they will find everyone wi take their own food and drink. We were charge $6.50 -for a glass of drink which held less than a can of coke. I find this disturbing and should be addressed. I will still use gold class but I will not be buying drinks or food. Change your prices and prepare food better and I may buy good again, but until that happens I will not be spending any more that the ticket price Very unhappy customerVisited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 June 2024

Alcoholic drinks were on par with most pubs at about $11.50 for a G&T, water was over priced, but the food was ridiculously overpriced. I had the Tortilla chips with guacamole which was tasty but I hardly had enough guacamole for all the tortilla chips. Very small bowl of dip with chips was $24. I splurged on the large 6 scoop icecream sundae but I think the svoops were very small and it was so smothered in choc sauce and the added malteasers and wafers you really don't know how much icecream you got. For this I paid $37!!!! Hoolie doolie. No wonder we don't do this very often. Foid and drinks for 3 of us was $160. OuchVisited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 26 July 2024
- Alison V24 contributionsGood Class needs a refresh/food unremarkable/too expensiveGold Class used to be a special experience. However, the foyer, toilets and cinema are now looking tired and dated. The toilet doors had scratches and not all cubicles had paper. Bar/food staff friendly. Very limited food options that weren’t fried or essentially just fast food. Vietnamese spring rolls just tasted like fried vermicelli noodles and didn’t have any other flavor. Suggest replacing them with cold rolls. Food was very expensive - $31.50 for 3 tiny sliders, $27.50 for a snack size salt and pepper squid. The website and bar staff indicated we could order extra items during the movie but when my husband tried to the app told him there weren’t any delivery windows left. Chairs were comfortable, food and drinks arrived on time.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 October 2024

We did Gold Class. Appreciate this is high end experience so no complaint abt price.
I went out and asked for another drink with 45 mins left on my movie. Female staff member sd computers shut down at 7 pm. Reluctantly started one up.
I ordered a Corona beer and she put on the counter. I asked for lemon so she got some out of a fridge and picked it up with her hand and jammed it into bottle,,!,,,
No gloves or tongs so clear Covid breach. What’s the point in social distancing etc
We had spent abt $100 on food and drinks prior to this
If this experience is to survive staff need to be bright and obliging
I want management to contact me

I ordered a Passionfruit Mocktail first sip and my face was so twisted . . . SOUR that was an understatement. . . The drink does have lime in it but you don’t expect to be treated with a lemon juice for a sore throat. I just couldn’t drink it even after a good stir it was just so bad. Told the usher and they couldn’t care less. It spoilt an otherwise pleasant evening.

Yes it is pricey so let's get that out of the way but we will definitely go again. Nice bar area to have a drink before the movie. The staff member that served us was very lovely and accommodated all our silly questions. You need to order food and drinks before you go in which they bring in during the movie (we staggered our food 30mins apart). Super comfy reclining chairs. Our cinema was clean. The food we were pleasantly surprised how good it was much larger portions than we thought so couldnt get through it. Got the triple fries, spring rolls, calamari, chicken tenders. Also the passionfruit mojito which i liked as it had fresh passionfruit in it. Definitely worth spoiling yourself. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was that there was no toilet paper in the toilets.

We are very disapointed! Seating clearly should have been replaced a few years ago the mechanics barely work now. We ordered two pots of tea during the movie. Both stainless steel pots leaked boiling water down the side of them as you poured which ran off the table and down onto my leg. I was glad I had jeans on or else I would have been badly burnt. I emailed Event Cinema's, they replied over a month and a half later and the only response they had was "we are sorry this happened to you, we have not had anyone complain about the tea pots before." These cinemas are very poorly managed, and they don't take their customers seriously. I emailed them as I didn't want anyone else to be burnt the same way!

Decided to see the new movie I wanna dance with somebody based on Whitney Houston’s life at Events Westfields Marion on New Year’s Eve at 7:30pm .
We thought being such an exceptionally hot day almost reaching 40 degrees C outside that watching a movie in an air conditioned cinema would be a pleasant experience and avoid the crowds at beaches seeing fireworks.
We sat through the entire movie and the airconditioning was not turned on and it was warm and uncomfortable and both my husband and I were sweating after being in our seats for over two hours. Saturday evening tickets are not cheap and we expect to sit in a cool airconditioned cinema. Very poor effort by Events. Not sure if they were trying to save electricity costs but this is not acceptable.

Trying to escape the heat I went to see a movie at Marion Event Cinemas. The only movie that worked time wise was in the Vmax Cinema (it was great, very comfortable large leather seats and wide armrests). The staff member that helped me change my booking (I stuffed it up on-line) was so patient and helpful, thank you! Cinema was clean and so was the toilet (must have been lucky). Brought my own snacks as always. Overall a very good experience.

A trip to Gold Class for belated Christmas gift. Seats were awesome. Clean venue but some messy guests noted upon exit - not a good way to thank the professional staff: they were all courteous and efficient. Food was average quality, small portions and overpriced but we expected that going in, sadly. We can tick this off the bucket list. We might go again but will have to save our pennies: all up, $200 for 2 adults and 1 young teen for tickets, meals n drinks.

Took my husband to see Top Gun Maverick starring Tom Cruise.
Wow, what a movie and the experience was made even better seeing it at the Event Cinema Marion in the couples luxury seating. We ordered bubbles and 2 meals which were brought to us by very efficient, friendly staff. We recommend the spicy buffalo wings too.
An expensive experience but worth doing when an epic movie is playing.

We had previously purchased some Gold Class vouchers and were given an additional voucher for Xmas, so we decided to treat ourselves to seeing the new Stars Wars movie in Gold Class at Marion.
Firstly; you cannot bring any food or drink into the Gold Class lounge and therefore if you want to enjoy the full 'Gold Class experience' you need to purchase all of your food and drink within the GC lounge beforehand.
We chose 5 (tapas size) food offerings between us together with 4 softdrinks in total. This amounted to $93 in food and drink alone, before the cost of the GC tickets is added! The food was actually quite nice, in particular the spring rolls, and that is the only reason this review didn't receive a 'poor'. The table the food is placed on is too high when your seat is reclined and was almost impossible to see what you are eating in the darkness. The recliner seats were also quite tired, with the footrest padding non existent and an exposed velcro seam in the footrest making it uncomfortable to sit in whilst wearing shorts. There was also a persistent smell of fish in the theatre that was present. So not a great experience sadly.
Overall, I really feel no need to go back to Gold Class; it is quite expensive for what you get, the seating is worn and uncomfortable and whilst the food was nice, the price is not justified for what you get.

Went to the cinema on Sunday evening and was disgusted about the amount of filthy on the floor and how unclean things were. The toilets were filthy and the soap dispensers were broken, the floor in the candy bar and foyer were dirty and the couches in the foyer were so disgusting we didn't want to sit on them.
